Pathandr Fury

"[…] while [Mandalorian] Crusaders did harry Republic settlements—sparking such skirmishes as the Pathandr Fury in 5451 BBY and the Nakat Incursions of the 5130s BBY—for the most part they remained beyond the frontier, pursuing their own mysterious missions."
―Vilnau Tept, 412th Proceedings of Galactic Anthropology and History[1]
The Pathandr Fury was a series of skirmishes that were fought in 5451 BBY and shared its name with the Inner Rim's Pathandr system. The conflict pitted the Galactic Republic against the Mandalorian Crusaders, a culture of warriors originating on the Outer Rim Territories' planet Mandalore and waging the campaign known as the Mandalorian Crusades since 7000 BBY.

The Pathandr Fury began after the Crusaders harried Republic settlements and was one of a number of low-scale engagements fought between the two factions before they faced each other in a full-scale war in 3996 BBY. In 24 ABY, Vilnau Teupt noted the Pathandr Fury in the keynote address "Industry, Honor, Savagery: Shaping the Mandalorian Soul" at Brentaal Academy's 412th Proceedings of Galactic Anthropology and History. Siege of Ramsir

(Taken to CA by Imperators II on October 27, 2022)

"When enthusiasts stage recreations of the battle they tend to use replica great axes and swords known from the excavation of Taung burial sites on Roon. But by the time the Taungs reached Roon these were ritual objects—species capable of traveling through hyperspace don't still rely on edged weapons. Nor do you find such weapons still used by societies as sophisticated as the Zhell nations. It's as if you staged a recreation of the Siege of Ramsir with the Imperial Army limited to parade sabers."
―Hu Jibwe, "A LONG TIME AGO..."[4]
The Siege of Ramsir was an engagement that shared its name with the Outer Rim Territories' Ramsir system and was fought at some point between 19 BBY and 2 ABY. It saw the participation of the Imperial Army of the Galactic Empire.

In 2 ABY, the Imperial Center Today contributor Eschul Shaywa published the article "A LONG TIME AGO...," which included comments by the military history scholar Hu Jibwe. The latter noted that it was likely that the Taungs and the Battalions of Zhell, two factions that had supposedly fought each other in a conflict two hundred thousand years prior, had used relatively sophisticated military technology such as aircraft and nuclear bombs, as opposed to the more primitive edged weapons commonly used in contemporary stage recreations of one of the conflict's battles. Jibwe further compared the contrast to a hypothetical recreation of the Siege of Ramsir in which the weaponry used by the Imperial Army was limited to parade sabers. (Read more…)

Tlön

(Taken to CA by Imperators II on December 28, 2022)

"Armed with Fenelar technology, the Mandalorians then turned their attention to the Tlönians, a vicious arachnoid species known for their poison-sacs and habit of preying on ships foolish enough to stray beyond the frontier. Tlön was depopulated and incinerated by the 6100s BBY."
―Vilnau Tept, 412th Proceedings of Galactic Anthropology and History[1]
Tlön was a world located in the Tlönia system, a part of the Demetras sector in the Trans-Hydian portion of the Outer Rim Territories. It was the homeworld of the sentient arachnoid Tlönian species, members of which attacked starships venturing beyond the frontier of the Galactic Republic.

At some point after the 6700s BBY, the Mandalorian Crusader warrior culture turned its attention toward the Tlönians, whom, according to the text Ba'jurne Kyr'tsad Mando'ad that was attributed to the later Mandalorian Tor Vizsla, the Crusaders viewed as "unworthy and unclean." By the 6100s BBY, Tlön had been depopulated and incinerated, a fact that Vilnau Teupt noted in the keynote address "Industry, Honor, Savagery: Shaping the Mandalorian Soul" at Brentaal Academy's 412th Proceedings of Galactic Anthropology and History in 24 ABY. Furthermore, Towani gave compelling evidence that the holy man had been a clone trooper pilot who had crashed his ARC-170 starfighter on Du Mai during the final days of that conflict, in the process sustaining head injuries. In response, the Republic declared war on Corellia, but its forces quickly defeated those of the Republic, and on the floor of the Galactic Senate on Coruscant, e Solo dictated a peace treaty between Alsakan and Coruscant at the point of his sword. The treaty brought the Alsakan Conflicts to a conclusion, and millennia later, Corellians would commonly boast to other Core-worlders about the critical role Corellia and e Solo played in ending the wars.
