A gene was a molecular unit of heredity of a living organism. Genes could be spliced by the use of a genetic splicer. The clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic were created from the genetic information of Jango Fett.[1] Bioweapons used during the Nozho–Weogar War on Clak'dor VII had the capability to alter genes.[2]
