The Lambda sector was a sector in the Mid Rim, neighboring the Dufilvian sector.[11] Planets in Lambda included Rintonne and Xandil VII, as well as a number of heavy industrial worlds and ship construction centers.[3]
History
Around 3624 BBY the Mandalorian splinter faction known as the Hidden Chain raided a three-planet system in the Lambda sector. Jekiah Ordo, who was commanding Mandalorian loyalist forces in Mandalore the Avengers stead, dispatched Galaar Squad to deal with the traitors.[12]
Between 57 BBY and 39 BBY, the sector was the site of the Andoan Wars.[5]
The Lambda sector was represented in the Galactic Senate by Rasit Brun at the time of the Separatist Crisis.[6] The sector split in two during the Clone Wars. The systems located along the two major hyperlanes joined the Separatists.[4]
Under the Galactic Empire, the sector was governed by Moff Par Lankin.[3] Following the Battle of Endor, the Lambda sector was among the first sectors to throw off the Empire.[8] However, Moff Lankin became one of the many Imperial warlords, keeping the sector under control[7] and making Rintonne his fortress world.[4]
During the Nagai–Tof War, the Nagai crossed the Lambda sector, defeating Moff Lankin's forces on their way.[4]
The sector was liberated when the New Republic defeated warlord Par Lankin in 7 ABY.[3]
In 9 ABY, Grand Admiral Thrawn reconquered all the systems located along the two major hyperlanes of the sector, including the planets Ando, Mon Gazza, the Algaran system, and astronomical object Thape.[4]
During the Yuuzhan Vong War, only a small part of the Lambda sector was invaded.[4]
