The Kuati Succession Crisis occurred in 311 BBY, after the shipyard company Kuat Drive Yards' principal director Ursela Kuat died when their star yacht was destroyed by the gravity mines placed along the Rothana Route hyperlane to restrict access to Rothana, a KDY-run factory planet in the Outer Rim Territories. Decades after the Kuati Succession Crisis, it was revealed Ursela Kuat was actually assassinated by their rivals on the KDY directorate.[1]
