Siege of Belasco

The Siege of Belasco was a confrontation that took place around 16,800 BBY at the Expansion Region[1] world[2] Belasco. It was situated in the region actively controlled by the Grand Companies—trading conglomerates based along the hyperlane known as the Spin and backed by Coruscant, the capital world of the Galactic Republic—and lay along hyperspace routes controlled by Coruscant.[1]

The Siege of Belasco was a late engagement of the First Alsakan Conflict, a war that had commenced more than two centuries earlier, lasted for another hundred years, and was the first of a fourteen-millennia-long series of wars over political control of the Republic between Coruscant, the planet Alsakan, and their respective allies.[1]
