The Perlemia system was a star system in the Core Worlds on the Perlemian Trade Route. Owing to the output of the shipyards around its planet Perlemia, the system was the namesake of the hyperlane. The shipyards were destroyed during the Tionese War.[2]
Behind the scenes
Daniel Wallace, author of The Essential Atlas, indicated that the system is located at or near one end point of the Perlemian Trade Route, and was presumably the source of the trade route's name. This information was confirmed as canon with the publication of The Essential Guide to Warfare.
