Snakes, also known as slitherettes, serpents, or ophidians[2] were lengthy, limbless creatures. They moved about by coiling around limbs or side-winding across the ground. Some snakes were venomous.[3]

At the Battle of Coruscant during the Great Sith War, green serpents attacked the Republic command center ahead of Aleema Keto and Ulic Qel-Droma's advance.[4]

As a bounty hunter during the Clone Wars, Asajj Ventress wore a shoulder piece that featured a black snake.[5]
