Phibia was a celestial body[3] situated in the Phibia system of the Haserian sector,[1] a part of the Slice portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] It was the origin point of the Phibian beer beverage.[4][5] At one point, the starliner Pendrake's Horizons was captured by Thalassian enslavers off Phibia. The starship was subsequently infiltrated by the Corellian Security Force agent Bey, who ultimately liberated the vessel.[3]
Behind the scenes
Phibia was originally meant to be mentioned in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart; however, the section that would have mentioned the celestial body was cut before the book's release.[3] The section was itself a revised version[3] of a cut segment originally written by Fry for inclusion in ninety-first issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine[6] in November 2006.[7]
The information regarding Phibia was later released in 2014 as part of Star Wars: The Essential Guide to Warfare Author's Cut, a series of articles published on the StarWars.com Blog by Fry and[3] Del Rey editor[8] Erich Schoeneweiss containing various cut content from the book.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Phibia system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square Q-15.[2]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for Phibian beer in relation to the Phibia system and specifically Phibia.
