Ord Thabl[3] was a world[4] located in the Ord Thabl system. It was situated in the Halla sector,[1] a part of the Kashyyyk Region in the Slice portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] Ord Thabl served as an Ordnance/Regional Depot outpost for the Galactic Republic during the Pius Dea Era, a period of time that lasted between approximately 12,000 BBY and 11,000 BBY. When the Republic launched the Third Pius Dea Crusade against the Hutt species in 11,939 BBY, Republic forces moved from Ord Thabl toward Hutt Space, including the Cyborrea system in the region's vicinity.[3]
Behind the scenes
Ord Thabl was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Ord Thabl system, and therefore the world itself, in grid square R-9.[1]
