The Cleansing of Rucapar was a confrontation that took place in 14,450 BBY[1] in the city of Rucapar[2] on the Core Worlds planet Alsakan.[1] The event saw the destruction of the centerpiece of the artwork known as the Alsakan Mosaics.[2]
The Cleansing of Rucapar was an early engagement of the Third Alsakan Conflict, a war that had commenced approximately fifty years earlier, lasted for another 150 years, and was the third of a fourteen-millennia-long series of wars over political control of the Galactic Republic between Alsakan, the Republic's capital world Coruscant, and their respective allies.[1]
Behind the scenes
The destruction of the Alsakan Mosaics was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[2] The event was then named by the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[1]
