A group of tumbling asteroids was situated in the Pindra system,[3] a part of the Slice portion of[2] the Inner Rim.[1] In 5 ABY, as part of the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic navy officer Willham Burke prepared a trap for the fleet of Admiral Ledre Okins of the Galactic Empire. Burke had a grav trap laid among the asteroids of the Pindra system and tricked Okins into diverting key units of his fleet there. The Imperial forces were ensnared, and Burke went on to defeat Okins in the Colla system.[3]
Behind the scenes
The asteroids of the Pindra system were mentioned in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the system, and therefore the asteroids, in grid square N-9.[1]
