Bryndar was a planet that, during the Clone Wars, was in the middle of an ice age. That, along with its remoteness, made it the perfect spot for individuals such as smugglers to hide, which is what Flynn Kybo, B'dard Tone and Codi Ty did during their hunt for General Grievous.

The planet was the site of a battle of the Western Reaches Operation during the Imperial Reconquest of the Rim in 17 BBY.[2]
