Tactical droids were class four droids designed to serve as combat consultants, boasting advanced combat-analysis software to help them determine exactly when and where to attack for the greatest effect.[1] Originally known as the CDE-T unit, the T-series tactical droid was a model of tactical droid manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata[2] to provide the Separatist Droid Army with tactical leadership during the Clone Wars.[1] This standard tactical droid was replaced by the super tactical droid later in the conflict, which improved upon the shortcomings of the former.[3]
