The Pradeux was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer that was a part of the navy of the Galactic Empire. Manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards[1] and measuring 1,600 meters in length,[2] it had a bridge that was outfitted with[1] a communications tower[4] and at least one ISD-72x deflector shield generator dome.[3]
The Star Destroyer shared its name with Pers Pradeux, a Galactic Republic admiral of the Pius Dea Era who at one point reorganized and rebuilt the Republic Navy. The Pradeux was commissioned at some point following the establishment of the Empire in 19 BBY, and its commissioning ceremony was carried out inside a cloudy atmosphere. Multiple flights of TIE fighters flew past the starship, and the event was also witnessed by many uniformed Imperial dignitaries standing on hovering platforms.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Pradeux was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart. In the book, the starship was illustrated by Drew Baker.[1]
