Mikaster III was a terrestrial celestial body[3] located in the Mikaster system, a part of the Mikaster sector[1] in the Trailing Sectors portion of[2] the Expansion Region.[1] During the Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems fought a battle on Mikaster III. During the engagement, Confederate octuptarra combat tri-droids picked their way through rubble, deploying a nanovirus-based bioweapon that shrouded them in veils of acidic vapor and targeted the Republic's clone troopers, to whom the weapon was lethal.[3]
Behind the scenes
Mikaster III was introduced in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.[3] The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas later placed the Mikaster system, and therefore Mikaster III, in grid square N-15.[1]
