Tlön

Tlön was a world^[3] located in the Tlönia system, a part of the Demetras sector^[1] in the Trans-Hydian portion of^[2] the Outer Rim Territories.^[1] It was the homeworld of the^[3] sentient^[4] arachnoid Tlönian species, members of which attacked starships venturing beyond the frontier of the Galactic Republic.^[3]

At some point after the 6700s BBY, the Mandalorian Crusader warrior culture turned its attention toward the Tlönians,^[3] whom, according to the text Ba'jurne Kyr'tsad Mando'ad that was attributed to the later Mandalorian Tor Vizsla, the Crusaders viewed as "unworthy and unclean."^[5] By the 6100s BBY, Tlön had been depopulated and incinerated, a fact that Vilnau Teupt noted in the keynote address "Industry, Honor, Savagery: Shaping the Mandalorian Soul" at Brentaal Academy's 412th Proceedings of Galactic Anthropology and History in 24 ABY.^[3] Eventually, the Tlönian species itself was rendered extinct.^[6]

Behind the scenes

Tlön was mentioned in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.^[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Tlönia system, and therefore Tlön, in grid square P-7.^[2]
