The Southern Core was a region of space within the galaxy that grew as an extension of the Arrowhead in the Core and Colonies.
It included Balosar, Daupherm Planet States, Fondor, and Herglic Space.
Behind the scenes
The Essential Atlas clearly identified the Inner Core as the Arrowhead. However, in endnotes for The Essential Atlas, Jason Fry identified the Inner Core as the Southern Core.
