A count was a noble title, of which the typically feminine equivalent was countess.

The title was used by the noble families of the planet Alderaan at least during the period of the Alderaan Civil War circa 3643 BBY. Count Alde of House Alde was one such bearer of the title.

Serenno was ruled by several counts. The most famous was Dooku, who reclaimed his ancestral title when he left the Jedi Order in 32 BBY.
