The 2018 edition of Star Wars: Complete Vehicles is an updated re-release of the 2013 Star Wars Legends reference book Star Wars: Complete Vehicles. It is published by Dorling Kindersley and sold exclusively at the British retailer WHSmith. The 2018 edition includes the cross-sections of vehicles from Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi as previously published in other reference books. Portions of the text from the original Complete Vehicles have also been edited to remove Legends material.
Continuity
Complete Vehicles states that the Separatists only took on the name "Confederacy of Independent Systems" at some point before the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.[2] However, the 2014 novel Tarkin used the name when referring to the Separatists weeks before the First Battle of Geonosis. In a conversation set several weeks prior to the battle, Count Dooku and Wilhuff Tarkin also use the terms "Confederate" and "Confederacy."[3] The 2017 reference book Star Wars: On the Front Lines had also used the name to refer to the Separatists during the events of Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[4] This article assumes Complete Vehicles is incorrect.
