A magnetic paralyzing pincer lock was a crane-mounted electromagnetic apparatus featured in the underside hangar of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer like the Devastator. It was used to secure a captured enemy vessel, preventing it from escaping the hangar,[2] as exemplified by the capture of the Tantive IV[3] in 0 BBY.[4]
