Hydroponics was a method of growing plants in water supplied with nutrients rather than in soil. On the desert planet of Tatooine, moisture farmers used surplus water gathered by vaporators for their small hydroponic gardens.[1] The parents of Camie Marstrap were underground hydroponic gardeners.[2] When Padmé Amidala first met Queen Breha Organa of Alderaan she wore white flowers in her hair that were purchased from a Coruscant hydroponics unit.[3]
