Dyne 577 radial atomizer engines, also simply referred to as Dyne 577 sublight engines[4], were a variant of sublight engines that were fitted and utilised onboard the starships of the Judicial Forces, the peacekeeping entity of the Galactic Republic's Department of Justice.[5] In total, three thrusters of this model[1] were integrated into Consular-class space cruisers.

Characteristics

These robust and powerful engines served as the primary propulsion system for the starships of the Republic Diplomatic Fleet,[6] which consisted of Consular-class space cruisers, such as the Radiant VII.[2] The thrusters could propel Republic cruisers at great velocities within atmosphere, allowing the vessels to reach 900km/h.[7]
