The Otoh Gunga Bongameken Cooperative was a vehicle manufacturing company based in the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga on the planet Naboo. Their products included the Gungan bongo submarine, a submersible vessel which they grew organically using secret Gungan techniques. The bongos were used by the Gungans and their allies to travel through Naboo's waters during the Invasion of Naboo by the Trade Federation.[1]
Behind the scenes
Otoh Gunga Bongameken Cooperative was first mentioned in the 2015 canon reference book Ultimate Star Wars, albeit spelled as "Otoh Gunga Bongmeken Cooperative."[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, to company was first mentioned as the "Otoh Gunga Bongameken Cooperative" in the 1999 reference book Star Wars: Episode I Incredible Cross-Sections, written by David West Reynolds.[2] The original spelling was later used in the 2018 canon reference book Star Wars: Complete Vehicles.[3]
