Jmmaar was a ten-legged, crablike Jedi Master from the planet Vvaw. A member of the Jedi Order, guardians of the Galactic Republic, Jmmaar was slain by the Separatist General Grievous, who won the Jedi's green-bladed weapon and added it to his collection of lightsabers at some point prior to his own death[1] at the Battle of Utapau in 19 BBY.[2]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Jmmaar was first mentioned in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Complete Vehicles. It appeared in material reprinted[1] from the 2005 reference book Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith Incredible Cross-Sections, which was written by Curtis Saxton. This,[3] simultaneously[4] with Matthew Stover's novelization of the Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith,[5] marked the character's first mentions in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[3][5]
