Vokoff-Strood was a a company that manufactured podracers and their engines. Its products included the Titan 2150 rocket engine[1] and the Plug-8G 927 Cluster Array Podracer,[2] including its engine. In[1] the 32 BBY[3] Boonta Eve Classic race on the planet Tatooine, the podracer Ratts Tyerell used twin Vokoff-Strood Titan 2150 rocket engines on his podracer, Scatalpen, while his competitor Ark Roose used a Plug-8G 927 Cluster Array Podracer.[1] Neither finished the race.[4]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Vokoff-Strood was first mentioned in the mobile card game Star Wars: Force Collection,[2] which initially launched in 2013. Although the launch of Force Collection predates[5] the Star Wars canon reset of 2014,[6] Lucasfilm Story Group member Leland Chee confirmed that the game was kept updated to fit with canon.[7] One of the two cards that mentions the company in the game misspelt the company's name as "Vokof-Strood."[2] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 1999 reference software Star Wars: Episode I Insider's Guide.[8]
