Gnasps were a species of dangerous,[1] large, wasp-like insects native to the moon Alaris Prime,[2] and also found in the forests of Kashyyyk,[1] the planet Alaris orbited.[2] They lived in swarms and were known for stinging.[1]

The species gave its name to the Raddaugh Gnasp fluttercraft, a model of ornithopter manufactured by Appazanna Engineering Works.[2]
