Duodecipedes were creatures whose legs could be roasted for consumption as roasted duodecipede leg sticks.[1] In 22 BBY,[2] the human moisture farmer Owen Lars of the desert planet Tatooine had roasted duodecipede leg sticks and crimplecress slices in the food storage compartment of his Zephyr-G swoop.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, duodecipedes were first mentioned in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Complete Vehicles. It was part of material reprinted[3] from the 2002 reference book Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Incredible Cross-Sections, which was written by Curtis Saxton and marked the creature's first mention in the Star Wars Legends continuity.[4]
