"You're Domina Tagge. The Domina Tagge. Head of the Tagge Corporation, one of the galaxy's richest, I mean, most esteemed conglomerates—"
Chelli Aphra, to Domina Tagge[4]

The Tagge Corporation,[4] also known as TaggeCo,[9] was a company owned and operated by the House of Tagge[1] that was headquartered within Tagge Space.[11] It was one of the largest[2] and richest corporations in the galaxy.[4] The Tagge Corporation maintained mining operations, took part in foodstuff distribution, produced droids, and developed weapons.[2] The company was known to heavily invest in the research of Gungan technology.[12]

History

During the final decades of the High Republic Era, the Tagge Corporation was based on the Core Worlds planet Tepasi, but also had notable interests within the Corporate Sector, being a signature member of its charter.[8] In the twilight years of the Galactic Republic, it was notably involved in marketing and distributing food products. At the time, the company's central strategy planning offices were located on the Republic capital of Coruscant. Despite those Coruscanti ties,[9] the company was headed by Sanya Tagge and Killian Tagge, both of whom were loyal to the breakaway Confederacy of Independent Systems. Both made a play at securing a battle droid contract with the Confederacy via a droid designed by their daughter, Domina Tagge, with that droid being her first ever design. However, both ultimately lost out on the contract, with the Tagge prototype battle droid never seeing usage.[2] In the end, the Confederacy would lose the Clone Wars and, with its defeat, the Galactic Republic was transformed into the Galactic Empire.[1]

Despite Killian and Sanya's Separatist ties,[2] the Tagge Corporation would begin work with the Empire[1] just as many former Separatist-aligned companies did.[13] By 3 ABY,[14] the company was headed by Lady Domina Tagge,[4] who also led the company's Executive Board. Domino was protected by an Honor Guard. Domino was aided by her secretary, Lapin Tagge.[3] The colony on the moon of Gortus 4 signed over its rights to its moon to TaggeCo[4] in 3 ABY,[14] with Domina quickly ordering Lapin to have TaggeCo's Construction Division set up an ore factory on moon by the end of the week.[4]

A power struggle emerged when Domina's nephew, Ronen Tagge, attempted to usurp control of the company. Allying with Crimson Dawn and Sana Starros' crew, Ronen launched a full-scale battle for control of Tagge Space. In truth, however, Sana Starros had made a deal with Domina that she would help get rid of Ronen. Overplaying his hand, Ronen's efforts ended up failure when he underestimated Domina's aide, Lapin Tagge. Having outright mentioned his alliance with Crimson Dawn and his attack having cost company lives, Domina was free to execute her nephew. Due to her help, Starros declared that her crew's debts to the Tagge Corporation were repaid and that she was owed a new ship.[11]

Many years after the defeat of the Empire, TaggeCo still existed. One of its subsidiaries, Galacti-Stok, produced the Happy-Bore Medicated Dewormer, a dewormer designed to control and rid happabores of parasites.[5]
