Pilot droids,[2] also known as driver droids[10] or droid pilots, were droids used to pilot vehicles[11] like starships or airspeeders. During the Clone Wars, the Separatist Alliance made extensive use of OOM pilot battle droids.[3] During the Imperial Era, the RX-series pilot droids were used to fly the Star Commuter 2000 shuttles from Lothal.[4] Another model was the FA-4 pilot droid, one of which piloted Count Dooku's own Punworcca 116-class interstellar sloop.[2] L3-37 was Lando Calrissian's copilot when he owned the Millennium Falcon during the Galactic Empire's reign. She was a custom, self-created pilot droid.[12] In 231 BBY,[13] during the Valo Republic Fair, driver droids where used to transport Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh in an aircar.[10]

One such droid had multiple limbs and served as a train operator droid on a repulsortrain operated by the Pyke Syndicate on Tatooine.[14]
