A concussion missile was a type of missile in which energy warheads would release clouds of high-velocity proton particles upon impact.[1] They were commonly mounted on starfighters such as the Rebel Alliance RZ-1 A-wing interceptor and the Imperial TIE/sa bomber,[4] and fired through special launchers to provide hull-piercing capability.[3]
Boba Fett charged extra for jobs that required him to use concussion missiles.[6]
History
During the Battle of Endor, Lando Calrissian fired concussion missiles at the main reactor of second Death Star, triggering the fatal blow, after wingman Wedge Antilles used Proton torpedoes with his X-Wing to take out the battle station's power regulator.
