"A mouthful of the prisht's succulent flesh is practically perfection all on its lonesome, but when it's sliced onto a salad or baked in a cake, it boosts things to a whole new level. I like to keep it simple, though, mixin' in a little fresh cream to balance out the fruit's natural sweetness as part of this classic prisht parfait."
―Strono Tuggs, The Ultimate Cookbook[1]

Prisht parfait was a classic, simple parfait made by mixing a small amount of fresh, white cream with red and yellow prisht-fruit from the Inner Rim planet Barlok. The dessert was served in a glass, with the cream balancing out the natural sweetness of the prisht-fruit. After picking up some prisht-fruit while visiting Barlok as part of a culinary tour he took of the galaxy[1] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY,[2] the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included a recipe for the parfait in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published[1] in 35 ABY.[2] In the book, he said he preferred the simple parfait to other dishes that used the fruit.[1]

Behind the scenes

Prisht parfait was created as a recipe for the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak with photography by Ted Thomas. The out-of-universe recipe for the parfait makes use of vanilla yogurt, peanut butter, hulled and quartered strawberries, mango, shredded coconut, chopped pistachios, and honey.[1] Prisht parfait was last served at the hotel during the September 2830 voyage of 2023, the final voyage before the closure of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.[3]

  2. 2.0 2.1 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook establishes that the publishing of the in-universe The Ultimate Cookbook and the culinary tour that preceded it occurred following the publishing of The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook and prior to the destruction of Kijimi. It also establishes that The Ultimate Cookbook was published following the Festival of the Ancestors that occurred during that time period. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook further establishes that The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook was published concurrently with the First Order's search for the Resistance base on Batuu, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY. In addition, Timelines dates the Festival of the Ancestors and the destruction of Kijimi to 35 ABY, meaning the tour must have taken place between 34 ABY and 35 ABY and The Ultimate Cookbook must have been published in 35 ABY.
