Cream was a dairy product which could be added to beverages like caf, mocoa, or tea, or used as an ingredient in sauces or baked goods. Beings such as the humans Leia Organa and Luke Skywalker and the Gand bounty hunter Zuckuss drank it in beverages, while Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs additionally included it in his cookbook recipes. Some beverages served in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu were topped with flavored whipped cream.
Description
Cream was a dairy product and food additive which could be used as an ingredient in other foods,[2] or added to beverages such as mocoa,[1] tea,[2] or caf.[4]
History
In 3 BBY,[6] Princess Leia Organa of the planet Alderaan and her pathfinding class visited a chalet after hiking in the mountains, and the young humans in the group enjoyed warming up with oversized mugs of mocoa topped with foamy cream. Citing a saying about muffins always landing with the cream side down, Amilyn Holdo voiced her own musings about covering a muffin with cream to make an analogy about Senator Winmey Lenz ensuring he would benefit from any outcome of a quadanium steel conflict.[1]
When the Jedi Luke Skywalker made an unpalatable batch of caf with the automatic brewer installed onboard Nakari Kelen's Desert Jewel yacht, he tried to disguise the taste by adding large amounts of sugar and cream.[4] The Gand bounty hunter Zuckuss ordered a caf with extra cream during an interview with Parazeen Parapa.[3]
Numian cream was a sauce served with mealbread and meat in the mess halls of First Order stormtroopers. FN-2187 thought it tasted like chalk.[7]
In The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook by Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs, cream was an ingredient in multiple recipes. It was used in the filling of Cavaellin Spice Creams and the sauce on top of Gormaanda's glowblue noodles. Tuggs created Sunrise Caf using fresh cream supplied by the Aqualish dairy farmer Bubo Wamba who farmed banthas on the Outer Rim planet Batuu.[2]
When made according to Tuggs' recipe, Moogan Tea was topped with flavored whipped cream.[2] Oga's Cantina in Black Spire Outpost served the tea that way, along with their version of Spiran caf.[8] Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and Ronto Roasters used a purple-colored version when they served Black Spire Hot Chocolate.[9][10]
