Sakhet's Special

Sakhet's Special was a saucy noodle dish that included meat and a chopped green vegetable. Long before^[1] 34 ABY,^[2] Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs visited the eatery Sakhet's Noodles on^[1] the planet^[3] Denon, where he enjoyed the proprietor Sakhet's Corellian buckwheat noodles. Following his visit, he included a recipe for Sakhet's Special in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook,^[1] published in 35 ABY,^[2] in which he recalled visiting Sakhet on Denon.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Sakhet's Special was introduced in the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Marc Sumerak and Jenn Fujikawa with photography by Ted Thomas. The out-of-universe ingredients for the recipe are soba noodles^[1]—made from buckwheat,^[4] like Sakhet's in-universe noodles—olive oil, an onion, rib eye steak, tamari, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, black pepper, nori, and green onions.^[1]
