- "On my last visit, I made the pleasant discovery that some Corellians happen to be almost as skilled at bakin' as they are at buildin'. These chewy little dessert balls that I bought at a food stall in Diadem Square certainly back up that notion."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Ultimate Cookbook
Corellia Chews were a type of small, baked dessert ball that were chewy and gold in color with white dusting. Bursting with a white filling of tart fruit and sweet cream, the vegetarian balls were made by the Corellian inhabitants of the industrial Core Worlds planet Corellia. During a culinary tour of the galaxy[1] taken between 34 ABY and 35 ABY,[2] the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs purchased Corellia Chews at a food stall in Diadem Square within Corellia's capital, Coronet City.[1]
Later on the tour, he traded a batch of Corellia Chews to a chef on the planet Sergia in exchange for a recipe for Sand Mynock 'n' Cheese. He was pleasantly surprised at the amount of baking skill the dessert suggested the Corellians had and included the recipe in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook,[1] which was published in 35 ABY.[2] In the book, he claimed that the Chews had almost made his visit to the grotty Coronet City shine.[1]
Behind the scenes
Corellia Chews were created as a recipe for the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak with photography by Ted Thomas. The out-of-universe recipe for the rolls treats them as mochi and makes use of mascarpone cream, confectioners' sugar, heavy cream, and crushed pineapple for the filling and mochiko, water, granulated sugar, yellow food gel dye, and potato starch for the mochi casing.[1]

- ↑ 2.0 2.1 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook establishes that the publishing of the in-universe The Ultimate Cookbook and the culinary tour that preceded it occurred following the publishing of The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook and prior to the destruction of Kijimi. It also establishes that The Ultimate Cookbook was published following the Festival of the Ancestors that occurred during that time period. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook further establishes that The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook was published concurrently with the First Order's search for the Resistance base on Batuu, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY. In addition, Timelines dates the Festival of the Ancestors and the destruction of Kijimi to 35 ABY, meaning the tour must have taken place between 34 ABY and 35 ABY and The Ultimate Cookbook must have been published in 35 ABY.
