The Tauntaun Icefall was a type of dessert treat created by the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs after completing a culinary tour of the galaxy[1] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY,[2] in which he visited the snowy planet Hoth. Named in honor of the local reptomammal species, the tauntaun, the dish was made using a blend of syrupy soda and frozen cream, topped with a smooth white layer, and garnished with multi-colored foods.[1]
Tuggs developed the dessert as a tribute to the tauntauns, following a failed attempt to butcher one for a roast—a process he abandoned due to the overpowering stench released during preparation. The Artiodac then included a recipe for the dish in The Outer Rim chapter of his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook,[1] which was published in 35 ABY.[2]

The Tauntaun Icefall was created as a recipe for the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe for the dish has a five-minute prep time and makes use of vanilla ice cream, cherry cola, lemon juice, vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon, whipped cream, gummy worms.[1]
