Yocola Azalus was a type of green punch served with a green garnish that included leaves. The beverage was concocted at the H'unn Cabaret Pit on Nar Kaaga in Hutt Space, where it was one of the most popular items on the venue's dangerous drinks list. The drink's name translated to "drink dangerous" in the Huttese language and it had undesirable and potentially lethal aftereffects when consumed.[1]
Following a culinary tour of the galaxy that included a portion in Hutt Space booked by members of the Hutt species[1] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY,[2] the Artiodac Strono Tuggs included a recipe for Yocola Azalus in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published[1] in 35 ABY.[2] Tuggs altered the drink's recipe for the book to make it less dangerous while keeping most of its flavor, which he considered phenomenal.[1]
Behind the scenes
Yocola Azalus was created as a recipe for the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe for the dish makes use of peeled and cubed kiwi, coconut water, granulated sugar, matcha powder, hot water, sparkling water, and mint.[1]
