- "It may not actually bring the dead back to life, but its healthy blend of fruit and veg juices provides a much-needed boost after a long night of hittin' the books too hard."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Ultimate Cookbook
The Spark Eternal Sipper was a beverage commonly served on the campus of the University of Bar'leth on the Core Worlds planet Bar'leth. A healthy blend of fruit and vegetable juices, the refreshing drink provided a boost to students who had stayed up late studying. Orange in color, it was served with ice and a sliced, green garnish in a glass with a straw.[1]
The drink and its name were inspired by the rumor of the Spark Eternal,[1] a real artificial intelligence created by the Ascendant cult that was sealed in a tomb beneath the university and could raise the dead.[2] After taking a culinary tour of the galaxy[1] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY,[3] the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included the recipe for the drink in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published[1] in 35 ABY.[3] Although it did not raise the dead, Tuggs claimed the drink was good enough for him and anyone else not associated with a cult.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Spark Eternal Sipper was created as a recipe for the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak with photography by Ted Thomas. The out-of-universe recipe for the drink makes use of apple juice, celery juice, pineapple juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and cucumber slices for garnish.[1]

- ↑ 3.0 3.1 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook establishes that the publishing of the in-universe The Ultimate Cookbook and the culinary tour that preceded it occurred following the publishing of The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook and prior to the destruction of Kijimi. It also establishes that The Ultimate Cookbook was published following the Festival of the Ancestors that occurred during that time period. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook further establishes that The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook was published concurrently with the First Order's search for the Resistance base on Batuu, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY. In addition, Timelines dates the Festival of the Ancestors and the destruction of Kijimi to 35 ABY, meaning the tour must have taken place between 34 ABY and 35 ABY and The Ultimate Cookbook must have been published in 35 ABY.
