Cloud City Bread was an airy bread that was originally made on the tibanna gas mining colony Cloud City on the gas giant Bespin. Due to the rarity of tibanna, Cloud City became quite wealthy and as such the airy bread became associated with wealth and became quite popular on the HoloNet. The Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs included the recipe for bread in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, in 35 ABY.[1]
Behind the scenes
Cloud City Bread were created as a recipe for the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe for the dish makes use of three large egg whites, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, pink food gel dye, and cornstarch.[1]
