Parameters

  • |image= — An image of the subject, if one exists
  • |name= — The title of the article
  • |origin= — The origin of the food/beverage, if known. Please note that a food/beverage only being present on a planet/moon/other location does not necessarily mean it originated from there and should be included in |found= instead.
  • |date= — If a unique food/beverage was created on a certain date, that should be included. Please note that this field isn't intended for "By XYZ ABY" to indicate something common like wine existed by a very early point in galactic history; rather, this parameter is generally used for unique dishes that were created at some specifically defined point.
  • |race= — If a food/beverage is affiliated with a specific race, cultural group, or species it should be included here.
  • |creator= — If a unique food/beverage has a creator, such as Strono Tuggs having created many dishes for his in-universe cookbooks, it should be included here. Note that for a generic topic such as wine, a long list of creators is generally not included.
  • |found= — If a food/beverage is found on a planet—that is, it is available or otherwise established in-universe to have been findable at a location—it should be included here. Note that if a food originates from a location, that location should be included in |origin= instead.
  • | — If a food/beverage has a type, it should be included here. For example, Cardekkia cheese is a type of cheese and Alderaanian wine is a type of wine. Wine itself, meanwhile, is a type of alcoholic beverage.
  • |description= — Physical description of the food/beverage should be included, if details are known. Size, color(s), texture(s), taste (sweet/spicy, etc.) are some examples of physical descriptors.
  • |animals= — This field is for animal-based ingredients of the food/beverage. Animal-based ingredients might include meats, cheeses, dairy products, and eggs, among other animal products.
  • |plants= — This field is for plant-based ingredients of the food/beverage. Vegetables and fruits are good examples of plant-based ingredients, though many others may fall into this category.
  • |other= — This field is for any other ingredient of the food/beverage that is not plant or animal based.
  • |edible= — This field is for listing any species that can consume a food. Note that in rare circumstances, a {{C}} may be needed to establish that a species has only been confirmed to be able to consume something such as a fruit in juice form. Additionally, if something is a beverage, use |potable= instead.
  • |inedible= — This field is for listing any species that cannot consume a food.
  • |potable= — This field is for listing any species that can consume a beverage. Note that |potable= is used for food instead.
  • |nutrition= — If a food/beverage has specific nutritional information or data, it can be included here.
  • |effects= — If a food/beverage has specific physical effects on consumers of it, those can be included here. Examples might include if a beverage causes alcoholic intoxication, or a rare type of food that makes people hungrier or perhaps ill. Note that this field is not generally used to just say "it could make someone feel more full"—that is sort of a given effect of food.
  • |dishes= — This field is primarily used for food ingredients, such as a fruit that may be used in a dish. For example, jybbuk-fruit is an ingredient of Spiced Jybbuk Juice, and chokeroot is an ingredient of mashed chokeroot.
  • |affiliation= — This field is for listing the affiliation of a food/beverage. Please note that only having a food consumed at an establishment or it being available there does not necessarily constitute affiliation. For example, wine is not individually affiliated with the hundreds (if not thousands) of cantinas that serve it. However, specific dishes such as Fried Endorian Tip-Yip, might be considered affiliated with the restauraunts its served in—Tuggs' Grub and Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo—given that the creator of the dish, Strono Tuggs, specifically created it for his establishments. Or, for example, Tiingilar, is established in-universe to be a traditional Mandalorian dish, meaning it would be advisable to consider it affiliated with Mandalorians.
