Meteor article
- Hi, why do you want to revert the "Meteor" page back to "Meteor (astronomical object)" and put "Meteor" up for deletion? Isn't it better that that it is simply called "Meteor"? Or do you want "Meteor" to be temporarily deleted so that "Meteor (astronomical object)" can take its place? Or am I missing something here...? 😮 --Possess you. Darth Vader Annual 2 date
Hey, you reverted my edit which made the date 18 BBY. On the continuity section of the article, it says "Star Wars: Timelines dates Darth Vader Annual 2 to 18 BBY and 17 BBY on different pages. Because 18 BBY lines up with when Lyra leaves Alpinn in Catalyst, this article assumes the 17 BBY date is an error." So surely is the article assumes the 17 BBY date is an error, then surely the date should be 18 BBY? Rxxxxxxxxxx (talk) 18:42, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
Twi'lek slaves
Hi I just wanted to point out something in the video game Star Wars Bounty Hunter and in LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga there are Twi'lek slaves in both games that bare a resemblance to Lyn Me. I can't confirm if she is in both of those games but I was wondering in that could be mentioned somewhere here on this wiki the Twi'leks who look like Lyn Me. JEFrank (talk) 10:33, October 16 2023 (UTC)
Ok thanks. Oh yeah I also saw some Twi'leks wearing the same outfit as Oola in a few comics and in Disney Infinity 3.0 I was wondering if it might be possible to
mention that here on the wiki about other Twi'leks wearing the same outfit as Oola? JEFrank (User talk:talk) 11:33, October 2023
Yeah the Twi'lek who looks like Lyn Me in Star Wars Bounty Hunter is a slave to Gardulla the Hutt and the Twi'leks who look like Lyn Me in LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga can be seen in Jabba's Palace and on Jabba's Sail Barge there's more than one Twi'lek who looks like Lyn Me in the LEGO Skywalker game JEFrank (talk) 12:06, October 17 (UTC)
About Oola
The information that I add was not speculation the information comes from novels that I have read I even saved the the information on my phone and highlighted the words that I have found. You would know this if you also looked up the novels that found and read. X-Mutant (talk) 2:59, June 29 2023 (UTC) Some of the limitations comes from Tales of Jabba's Palace that's the only novel that I know the information comes from several novels but I don't know the name of the other novels. X-Mutant (talk) 3:15, June 29 2023 (UTC) Your welcome. X-Mutant (talk) 5:35, June 29 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for the help on Oola's and personality. X-Mutant (talk) 9:55, August 15 2023 (UTC)
Fact File 96 also says that Oola is innocent while Tales from Jabba's Palace says "her pride and jealousy flared up". But I wasn't to sure about adding innocence and jealousy to Oola's personality. Do you think that innocent and jealous should be add? X-Mutant ([[User talk:|X-Mutant|talk]]) 8:46, August 16 2023 (UTC)
In Tales from Jabba's Palace it says that Oola's "pride and jealously flared" when Luke Skywalker tried rescuing her it during when Luke tells Oola that "you won't get a second chance." Innocent is mentioned two times in Fact File 96 and "A mixture of vanity Innocence" plus "innocent and foolish". Also there is a book called Star Wars the Essential Reader's Companion that says "Oola continued to Jabba's palace selfishly believing she could become wealthy". So not only is Oola described as being innocent and jealous but she also described as being selfish. X-Mutant (talk) 7:38, August 17 2023
It comes from the word: 1. Innocent Fact File 96 and comes from Essential Reader's Companion 2. Jealous comes from Tales from Jabba's Palace 3. Selfish comes from the Essential Reader's Companion X-Mutant (talk) 10:36, August 17 2023 (UTC)
The word jealous comes from A Time to Mourn a Time to Dance from Tales of Jabba's Palace. X-Mutant (talk 10:48, August 17 2023 (UTC)
By the way thanks again for your help. X-Mutant (talk) 12:30, August 17 2023 (UTC)
More About Oola
Wanted to tell you that I found some more information about Oola in Fact Fale 96. In the book it says that Oola was bitter and disappointed that Jabba and his palace were nothing like what Bib Fortuna told her. So when you update her page could you add bitter and disappointed to her page. Oola was not only repulsed by Jabba she was also bitter and disappointed as well. X-Mutant (talk) 10:45, August 22 2023 (UTC)
When do you think you will have the time to update Oola's page and answer my message? User:X-Mutant (User talk:X-Mutant) 5:00, August 22 2023 (UTC)
Ok thanks I add innocent to Oola's personality and page since it is mentioned three times in Fact File 96. Yeah sorry I don't mean to degrade Oola but innocent is one of the only few positive things that I can find about Oola. X-Mutant talk) 6:27, August 22 (UTC)
Return of the Jedi radio drama
Hi I was wondering if you could add a quote from Mara Jade in the Return of the Jedi radio drama? She says "I heard the girls make a lot of money dancing here at least the ones that survive until payday" X-Mutant ([[User talk:X-Mutant|talk][) 1:18, August 16 2023 (UTC)
Maybe add to Mara Jade's page and Oola's page as well because Mara Jade says this about Oola "There's one dance she won't do no matter how much he pays her". So if we are to believe Mara Jade's words that means Oola and the other girls got paid to dance for Jabba and to entertain him. X-Mutant (talk) 2:03, August 16 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the information from the radio drama. By the way do you think that Mara Jade is correct or right about the girls in Jabba's palace getting paid to dance for him? X-Mutant (talk) 3:34, August 16 2023 (UTC)
Fact File 96
Hi I just wanted to talk to you about Fact File 96 not only does it say that Oola vain, naive, foolish and optimistic the fact file says that is a trait among other Twi'leks as well "Like so many Twi'lek females, Oola was vain and naive, these traits gave her optimism". So because it says like many Twi'lek females that means naive, foolishness, vanity, optimism, pride, headstrong are common among Twi'leks. So I was wondering if you could the information to the Legends Twi'lek page? X-Mutant (talk) 5:33, August 16 2023 (UTC)
Thanks again the information that I have gathered from Tales from Jabba's Palace and Fact File 96 is all screened shot and saved to my phone so that way I have proof that the information is correct. X-Mutant (talk) 6:34, August 16 2023 (UTC)

No Good Deed... timeline placement
Hey again!, I noticed you moved No Good Deed... back to 18 BBY. I moved it to 12 BBY as the article lists the date to 12 BBY - 0 ABY, and the reasoning for this makes sense, so surely it should be placed in 12 BBY?Rxxxxxxxxxx (talk) 17:19, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- Looking at the different chestplates from Darth Vader by Soule, A New Hope and Star Wars (2015) 1, they do have a different designs.
- Vader in Revenge of the Sith has Chestplate A and Belt A
- Vader by Soule has Chestplate B and belt A
- Vader in Rebels has Chestplate A belt A
- Vader in Rogue One has Chestplate B and Belt B
- Vader in A New Hope has Chestplate B and belt B
- Vader in Star Wars (2015) 1 has Chestplate C and belt B
- Vader in Darth Vader (2015) 1 has Chestplate D and belt A
- Vader in Empire Strikes Back has Chestplate B and belt B
- Vader in Revenge of the Sith has Chestplate B and belt B.
- The different chestplates and belt don't massively change (normally a solid colour change or shape of button) and this could sometimes not be intentional. For now its safe to conclude that has a few different chestplates and belts which shouldn't dictate when something is set. Rxxxxxxxxxx (talk) 19:17, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
Ezra Bridger’s mentors
Hello there, I noticed you keep trying to revert my edits regarding Ezra Bridger’s mentors. This has been happening for a while now, with your only response being ‘not really’. I don’t quite understand where the issue is.
Each of the characters presented has been shown as a mentor to Ezra throughout Star Wars Rebels. For example, Forces of Destiny’s episode, a disarming lesson, explicitly shows Tano training Bridger in lightsaber combat, whilst passing on advice to him. https://youtu.be/0rlugDqJOJ8. We see throughout the second season of Star Wars Rebels the continuation of this, most notably in the episode ‘Shroud of Darkness’. Whilst Tano is less important of a mentor to Ezra as Kanan Jarrus is, she was a mentor to him regardless of what anyone chooses to believe. This wiki is built to present the facts of Star Wars canon without considering the personal beliefs, and opinions of fans. To ignore evidence presented in order to fit your own personal bias breaches the rules of this wiki.
Ahsoka training Ezra
Whilst this wiki has a reputation for being run and monitored by corrupt editors, I have no intention of creating an argument, I simply request an explanation. If you wish to revert my edit again, would you be able to give an explanation as to why none of these characters qualify in your opinion as Ezra Bridger’s mentors on my talk page please. Thanks in advance.
Continuation of Ezra’s mentors
Hey again, noticed you have a very brief explanation last time you reverted my edit. This is what you said: “Ezra never accepted Maul as a master or anything, Ahsoka isn't really a master for some training, and I wouldn't really call Hondo his master either.”
A mentor by definition is someone who trains an individual and passes wisdom down to them. Ahsoka has filled both of these roles, and as shown in Star Wars Rebels, she played a key role in Bridger’s life, despite not being as prominent as Kanan. In brothers of the Broken Horn, we see Hondo teaching Ezra the ways of being a pirate, with advice, which is a trope built upon in almost every other appearance Ohnaka makes in the show. Ezra may not like Maul in hindsight, but was still taught by him regardless of his thoughts on him as an individual. If we were to use your logic, Beckett wouldn’t count as a mentor to Han Solo, as Han didn’t like him as an individual after the film (Source: From A Certain Point Of View- The Empire Strikes Back’).
Continuation of Ezra’s Mentors... again
Hey, thanks for the message on my talk page. However, I’m still going to have to disagree with you. Regarding Maul, as previously stated, looking back in hindsight at someone and disliking them doesn’t erase the fact they were a mentor to you. Whether or not you were taught by someone is factual information, you don’t just ‘consider’ who was a teacher to you. And if we were to use your logic, as previously stated it would mean that Han Solo wasn’t mentored by Tobias Beckett, as the book ‘From A Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back’ states that Han despised Beckett, and never considered him a true mentor, which also lines up with his character arc in the OT learning to reject the mindset of life being cruel and not being able to trust anybody (which is what Beckett taught him), but instead learning to become a better man.
Hondo, again, straight up mentored Ezra. They both liked eachother, and I still haven’t seen you present a valid argument as to why you don’t believe he qualifies. We even see Hondo’s advice become a more prominent part of Ezra’s personality as the series progresses. This also applies to Ahsoka. We see her training Ezra in Forces of Destiny, and there were references to at least two other times she trained Ezra in ‘Ocean Rescue’ (a comic from the Rebels Magazine), as she refers to other occasions (plural) she trained Ezra after a training session on Lothal. On several occasions within the show, she passes down wisdom to him, which, similarly to Hondo’s advice, grows more and more prominent throughout his time with her. Both Hondo and Ahsoka both qualify as mentors to Ezra.
On my talk page you say ‘You seem to be missing the purpose of the field and taking it a bit too literally.’ Firstly, a mentor is a mentor, and no guideline has been given stating that everyone listed must be prominent. However, I agree with the idea that this should be the case, as like you say, the list would become endless otherwise. The issue I have with your view however, is the fact that Ahsoka, Hondo and Maul were prominent in Ezra’s life. Each one of them have passed down knowledge and wisdom to him, which became more prominent in his personality and behaviour, and ultimately shaped who he is as a person. Heck, a key part of Ezra’s story is his dark side instilled in him by Maul and strengthened by the Sith holocron. Ultimately, it seems you’re trying to create a barrier regarding what should or shouldn’t be considered a mentor based on your own personal criteria, rather than what is or isn’t official. If it really means so much to you, then by all means, remove them from the list, though I believe it to be a breach of this communities guidelines and a rejection of official canon in replacement of personal bias and views. However, this isn’t really a big deal. Do what you will, it’s not really worth any further debate.

Dashes
Yo, Lew, it was discussed in Discord and so the reason that C4-DE is using the character mdash/ndash for *links* is that the MediaWiki autosuggest works with those. If you use the mdash/ndash format on a plain link, autosuggest doesn't work, so we're using dashes as the unicode character in links that include dashes and using the & format elsewhere (i.e. as the parameter of a template or in prose) Cade Calrayn 19:52, 5 August 2023 (UTC)

Reverts?
Hi! I've rewritten and sourced K43 in preparation for merging Kakra into it. I'm a bit confused by your reverts to Benath and Freerock however. Benath is clearly meant to be the Benathy homeworld per the { {Planetnamia} } template and since it was a one-shot we are unlikely to get any further clarification per Jason Fry's comments. Freerock is located in Wild Space based on holistic analysis that I've been conducting of the Galaxy Map. All other locations on the map colored white within the colored regions have previously been established as Wild Space locations by either Star Wars Legends or by their respective canon sources. Freerock therefore falls in a location designated as Wild Space within the Expansion Region. I realise it is listed as a "Good Article" but the { {GA} } template on the Talk:Freerock states that if you can improve the article, please do so. Am I meant to contact the nominator, User:Braha'tok enthusiast before editing good articles? LadyNeret (talk) 01:07, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- OK, thanks! I guess I'll just change that unsourced planet template on the Benath page to a generic location template then, just to avoid any confusion. LadyNeret (talk) 01:44, 16 August 2023 (UTC)
- Also, I was just following the assumption that Benath IS the Benathy homeworld based on this edit (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Template:Planetnamia?diff=next&oldid=11544923) to the { Planetnamia } template by User:Imperators II. It certainly seems logical to me. It removes a conjecturally titled page as per policy. But I'll leave it with you. LadyNeret (talk) 01:44, 16 August 2023 (UTC)

Garbage Moon
Hey Lewisr, the map is a continued work by Jason Fry works the same way as the old maps did. The names are not explicit. Jason Fry has explained this in the past. We are not the interpret them as "definitive" names and are not to create systems based on names on the map. They are indicators or placeholder names used to help fans quickly locate the most notable subject in that location. As there is only one Maher on the map it is clearly meant to indicate the location of the only canon subject matter which is the Garbage Moon of Maher. Maher cannot be anything but speculation. The moon could either be orbiting Maher or belong to someone named Maher. We simply don't know. Either way the "Maher" on the map is clearly meant to indicate the location of the Garbage Moon of Maher. LadyNeret (talk) 03:06, 18 August 2023 (UTC)

Farewell, for now...
- Lewisr, I'm sorry it has come to this but I'm taking extended leave from the site. It is clear that things here have not changed for the better and it is still the same old Wook, with users flocking around a select few admin instead of considering new ideas and approaches (or even correct common sense approaches). The fact that you "reverted" multiple SOURCED pages, that I have spent hours researching over the past few weeks (as soon as I placed a vacation template on my page), speaks volumes for how the site operates, especially when yourself stated that this was not really your area of study. Your “reversion” to the Bith system (Outer Rim Territories) page has actually resulted in a less-accurately and INCORRECTLY sourced page than if you had left it as is. Please do not take this as a personal attack as I did welcome your support and advice over the past few weeks. It is not just your edits contributing to my decision to leave and you may think you are just following best practice or the guidelines of the Wook but I urge you and your colleagues to take a good hard look at your so-called "reversion policies". Removing sourced common sense edits are not reversions and simply come across as dismissive of new users contributions.
Pertaining to the so-called "passive aggressive" comments, I've seen plenty of it in edit summaries, most notably from a minority with the current admins from the time of my very first edits (hiding it behind “sarcasm” is not an excuse) and unfortunately it has rubbed off and crept into some of my comments in moments of frustration. I do sincerely apologise for that. I leave the above here with you to discuss with the admin.
As to the current approach to anything astronomical here on the Wook, it is wrong. As my own personal observation from "outside the system", this appears to stem from Imperators II's sway over anything astronomical and plain stubbornness in accepting anything counter to how he believes thing should be, and those who appear to flock to him out of the woodwork whenever he makes a statement. For over a year nobody here even checked basic sources to validate whether the Galaxy Map was even included in Star Wars Timelines and how they were related and continued to falsely attribute citations to something that was flat-out wrong.
I was extremely hesitant (not just because our guidelines advise against it) about, once again, approaching Jason Fry to explain something that he has pretty clearly explained in the past, but please refer: https://boards.theforce.net/threads/the-essential-atlas-and-galactic-cartography-official-discussion.21938930/page-253#post-58611666 as well as the numerous other comments from him and other VIPs in this specific thread over the years.
Labels on maps ARE indicative of system locations. Ploo on the map represents the Ploo system not one astronomical body such as Ploo II. Statements such as "Bardelberan 7, also known simply as Bardelbaran," which is a moon are false and nothing better than fanon and do not belong in FA/CA articles based on how Lucasfilm interprets the maps. Stars/Planets/moons, etc. DO NOT belong as isolated pages (currently ungathered under their existing respective Canon system pages as if they exist in a vacuum); whether the system has yet to appear in a "canon" source or not is irrelevant and does not mean all these astronomical bodies exist in a vacuum unconnected to each other (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Colu for example SHOULD be listed under the Bith system page or even under a placeholder system (with a conjectural template if so be it) with the other bodies in that system if it appeared as so in Legends also. As far as Lucasfilm is concerned Atlas systems still exist, as do everything in them unless contradicted in the future. Instead of assuming what has come before still holds sway, the Wook has run counter-to and is assuming something illogical that is also counter to basic established principles utilised by Lucasfilm and as a result the Wook now has hundreds of pages that simply should not exist (https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Munt_Ontdal_(astronomical_object)) for example. It is causing mass confusion and contradictions are already starting to "creep" into Canon sources such as with the two Bith systems largely because of how we present information related to these subjects here on the Wook. Why the way systems were handled, opposite to how they are handled within Legends material as explained to me by Imperators II, is completely beyond me. Basically, treating Canon systems and locations exactly as they were in Legends should never have been deviated from unless refined by current Canon sources. This has never been about implementing something that affects hundreds of pages, this has always been about FIXING hundreds of pages (basically fanon) that were created in error prior to me signing up. Common sense edits should not require the amount of resistance I’ve encountered in enacting change. I wish you well and sincerely hope you all can continue forward in a logical and productive manner. I may return one day but unfortunately this whole debacle has sapped any enthusiasm I once had for being a part of this community. LadyNeret (talk) 03:33, 27 August 2023 (UTC)

Macaroni seems to have left indefinitely, what's your opinion on the conjectural title? --Goodmind (talk) 15:28, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
- The disagreement with Macaroni was about the content of the page, what I meant is that the non-conjectural part would still be Eighth Family stronghold since that's how it's called in the book, not something like: A stronghold operated by the Eighth Ruling Family. Which he suggested, treating family name as something like Imperial in the title. --Goodmind (talk) 16:08, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

Force-sensitive bloodlines
Hello, what's the definition of a "Force-sensitive bloodline"? A family having at least 1 Force-sensitive member? Or at least 2? I see that the Category:Force-sensitive bloodlines has some family articles with only 1 known Force-sensitive member: Tano family and Syndulla clan (if you don't count Kanan Jarrus, that is). --Episode 35 (talk) 19:18, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

Hello Mr. Lewisr, thank you for your helpful feedback on my FAN. I wasn't sure if you saw on the nomination page, but I plan to address your concerns later today when I leave work. - Hiya, just saw this after I undid your edits, but it's best to avoid terms like "formerly" in the infobox because everything happens in the past anyway; everything's in past tense. You don't see "formerly" written all over Anakin Skywalker's infobox, for example. In other words, it doesn't matter if the state of apprenticeship or affiliation is subsequently cut, but whether it took place at a point in time. OOM 224 (he/him) 08:26, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

Heya, just want to check with The Expert™ if you think this dating is alright (left it as a pipelink for now in case I'm wrong or if the year article needs moving) on Porter Engle. I profess I hadn't been keeping up with the latest High Republic announcements and all that so want to confirm with you. OOM 224 (he/him) 19:33, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

Hello there, I made an edit on Ezra Bridger’s page recently, that seems to have caused some conflict, and just wanted to check the reasoning for the edit being reverted.
A few days ago, a mod listed Hera Syndulla as a maternal figure in Ezra’s life with an appropriate source. The explanation in the source for this, was also said in-universe by Ezra in relation to Kanan, saying he had taught him basic life skills and how he had been raised by him to be a good person. The reasoning is the same as the reasoning for Hera’s inclusion, yet only Kanan is being removed. From what we see in the show, Hera definitely had a strong bond with Ezra, but Kanan seemed to have slightly more importance. One of the key themes in the show was how they all became family-like-figures to one another, and I made sure to use appropriate terminology and to only reference Kanan as a ‘paternal’ figure rather than a fatherly figure.
Family-figure relations usually seem to be included if there is an appropriate source for it, as stated earlier with Hera, and Kanan definitely filled the role of being a paternal influence in Ezra’s life. I was wondering if there was any reasoning for this. Thanks in advance!--Bespashin (talk) 15:38, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Apologies for any confusion then. He may have just been a prominent editor, not necessarily a mod. I’d previously seen Anakin listed in Obi-Wan’s sibling tab, and then Hera in Ezra’s parent tab, and simply assumed family-figures were included, and was surprised when Kanan was removed from Ezra’s tab. That’s my mistake, I probably should have asked on the talk page before making the edit lol. Thanks again for the response!--Bespashin (talk) 16:14, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Under 'Mae's Surrender' I have been trying periodically to make a small amendment which is being constantly changed back. It is stated that "Another Jedi deactivates PIP". I have tried to change this to "Master Jem-Sin deactivates PIP" as that is the character name (although uncredited) of the Jedi. The character is listed further down the page as uncredited cast. May I ask why the amendment is being reverted? Thanks. —Unsigned comment by Jemsin (talk • contribs)
- Posting here as well incase you don't see your talk page:
- 'Hey there, the reason I have reverted your edits is because there is no source for the name Jem-sin as far as I can see, I searched it and it brought up on IMDB which isn't a valid source and a facebook post where the name is used but no indication of where said name originates. Unless there is some official source for the character's name, such as a script or someone involved with the show then we should not have mention of this name on the site. If you have something that can be used as a source, you're free to share it Lewisr (talk) 22:09, 10 November 2024 (UTC)'
