Christophsis crystals were a type of kyber crystal found on the Outer Rim crystalline planet Christophsis, which was an early flash point of the galactic Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. And while the planet's importance to both the Republic and the Confederacy stemmed from several different sources, its importance to the Jedi Order lay in the pure kyber crystals that formed in the crystalline forests of the planet.[1]
A lightsaber blade created by Christophsis crystals amplified kinetic energy in a unique way among lightsabers, which resulted in powerful impacts.[1]
Behind the scenes
Christophsis crystals were mentioned in Collapse of the Republic, a roleplaying supplementary sourcebook for the Star Wars Roleplaying series that was published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019.[1]
