On this wiki, there are many characters with affiliation types with Jedi Characters like Luke Skywalker with a green infobox color or Resistance members with their orange and black infobox color. But for droid infoboxes, they don't have these unique color schemes. So it can get pretty confusing to see which droid is on who's side. I'm proposing we apply the same types for the characters infoboxes for the droid infobox. This way the droid character's infobox will display the affiliation the droid has. For example: BB-8 is affiliated with the Resistance, so his infobox color scheme will be orange and black. While First Order droids such as BB-9E will have the red and black color scheme. So the type field should be above the image field. User:Elijah Palmer (talk) 15:15, 29 September 2023 (EST)

- I agree it should be added, though it should be specified where in the infobox it is being added. Probably just in the same place above image as on Template:Character would be fine I guess Lewisr (talk) 19:32, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Agreed. It should be at the top. User:Elijah Palmer (talk) 15:38, 29 September 2023 (EST)
- Can you just include that above please? Lewisr (talk) 19:44, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- I did. User:Elijah Palmer (talk) 15:47, 29 September 2023 (EST)
- To make it a little more clear can you just change it from 'So the type should be at the top of the image' to 'So the type field should be above the image field'? Lewisr (talk) 19:53, 29 September 2023 (UTC)

- I like this idea a lot but it just seems weird to have an infobox for BB-8 and an infobox for Poe Dameron have the same color scheme but different information listed below. Is there a way we can show people that a droid is a part of a certain affiliation while also showing that they're a droid? Chipchip88 (talk) 20:30, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- It still would have the class, model, and line fields, or an image would for example. I don't quite understand what you're asking, it doesn't seem any different to the character infobox? Lewisr (talk) 20:39, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Are we able to keep the droid colors while also adding the affiliation types. It may be easier for users affiliation with a quick color glance. Chipchip88 (talk) 20:57, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- What do you mean droid colors? Lewisr (talk) 21:36, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- The grey and light green. Chipchip88 (talk) 21:42, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
- Nah, when users see droid-specific terms like "product information," "manufacturer," "sensor color" etc. then it's pretty clear that the character is a droid. If it's got an image, especially so. Plus, the grey and the green are arbitrary colours that as far as I can see don't have any actual association with droids in the first place. I don't think we should be worrying about making a further distinction between organics and droids in terms of their infobox styles. OOM 224 (he/him) 21:58, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
