Hello, Rocket Retro Reed, and welcome to Wookieepedia! We hope you like the place and choose to join us in building the best Star Wars encyclopedia there is. Here are some things you should know:
New to wikis? Don't worry, we were all new once. Our help pages will get you started, and the Jundland Wastes sandbox can be used for test edits. Don't be afraid to make mistakes—be bold! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, you can consult our FAQ, ask a question in the Senate Hall forum, visit our official IRC channel, or leave me a message on my talk page. |
The Truth About Luke's X-Wing on Ahch-To
Hello! I do remember yes, of course it should be updated to reflect the events of The Rise of Skywalker so feel free to make changes, I will make any further changes if necessary --Lewisr (talk) 00:02, January 5, 2020 (UTC)
- I did all I could so far. By the way, Red Five has the best and most information. --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 00:58, January 5, 2020 (UTC)
Categories
Hi there. Just to let you know, there's no need to add categories as you did here and here. These comics are included within Category:Star Wars: The Last Jedi one-shot comics, which is already listed on those pages. In general, make sure that any categories you add to pages aren't redundant to the subcategories they contain. Thanks. RattsT (talk) 01:47, August 1, 2020 (UTC)
Retro Reed: Hi there. Oh, okay. Thank you for letting me know. If they're subcategories, then that makes sense. --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 13:27, August 1, 2020 (UTC)
- Hello. You are reminded that categories are to be listed in alphabetical order, in accordance with Wookieepedia's Layout Guide. Please go back and amend your recent edits as appropriate. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:30, August 8, 2020 (UTC)
- Retro Reed: Hello, you can revert and/or fix my edits yourself if you want. The problem is and the reason why I made those edits, same reason with User:RattsT above, is because I'm trying to complete my collection of all the Star Wars Canon Marvel Comics stand-alone issues by themselves and with trade paperbacks containing series. Although, I would appreciate it if one of you could/would help me. Thank you. --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 19:36, August 8, 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not really interested in your collection, but the impetus is still on you to go fix your edits, not me or anyone else. Please go back and revise them. Don't expect other people to fix your easily correctable mistakes for you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:48, August 8, 2020 (UTC)
- No, I'm not saying that I want to share/tell you about my collection, I just need and want every single one to be categorized because they should all be, and so I can have a checklist. The Marvel website doesn't have them listed there anymore, so now, I feel like this one is my best bet. But yes, I will fix my mistakes. :) --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 00:16, August 9, 2020 (UTC)

Hey man, I'm just going to reply to them here because its easier this way. To answer your questions on Logray and Chirpa, if they did work with each other it should be mentioned on the page, it's likely it just hasn't been added, you can add it if you want as long as its mentioned in a canon source. For your question on Marvel Comics canon trade paperbacks, I don't know if everything is there but looks pretty complete from what I can see --Lewisr (talk) 19:00, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, my friend. By the way, most of the time, in talk pages when I say things like: "Should anything about ______ go anywhere in this article?", not only do I mean it like I will do it myself if the answer if yes, I also sometimes need help too. Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 19:09, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
- No worries! Okay I understand, it still needs to be established whether its in a canon source before anything can be done --Lewisr (talk) 19:15, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
Images
Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! All good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, but we ask that you refer to our Image policy and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Thanks! UberSoldat93 (talk) 18:28, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you, but I am not new here. I always follow the rules, but as for the image I uploaded, is there anything I did not do right? I got it from Disney Wiki. Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 19:55, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
- You did not provide any sourcing information for the file you uploaded. The file will be deleted if the information is not provided. UberSoldat93

- How do I do that? I have not known since I had my old original account four years ago. Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 20:54, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
- Nevermind, somebody already did it for me. :)Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 23:47, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Coding
To let you know the / is meant to be part of the br coding in the quotes to prevent overflowing syntax highlighting. I'm sure your edits were in good faith, but please don't remove them. Braha'tok enthusiast Hello there 21:11, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- In addition to that, the way the novel formatting was done before here is the correct way per either the Layout Guide or the Manual of Style. Braha'tok enthusiast Hello there 21:14, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- Adding on to the above, please make sure to keep italic marks inside the brackets. The correct formatting is [[Star Wars: Complete Locations (2016)|''Star Wars: Complete Locations'']], not ''[[Star Wars: Complete Locations (2016)|Star Wars: Complete Locations]]''. Thank you. VergenceScatter (talk) 21:38, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
- Retro Reed: Okay, sorry about that, it's just something I've been used to doing since I started using Source Editor through my old account here and on other Wikis, especially Disney, but if it's only against the rules here, then I'll take your word for it. Thank you, --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 12:52, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
Sourcing
Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. If you would like some help learning how to properly source additions, you can see this tutorial or ask for assistance in our Discord server. Thanks! — This is not acceptable. Provide an appropriate source, or your edits will be reverted. OOM 224 21:30, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Retro Reed: I am not new here. I wasn't saying I didn't know how to add a source, I was just wondering what the source for it was. Because the Colossus has Deflector Shields, right? There's got to be a source for it. --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 21:35, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- If you're not new here, then you should know better than to add unsourced claims. Rather than make claims and wait for someone to add a source that may or may not support the information, the editing process should be to find information in a source first, then add them to articles citing the relevant source. Per longstanding wiki policy, all information presented in articles must be verifiable and properly attributed to official sources, so assumptions must never be made. I hope I've made my point clear to you. OOM 224 21:47, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm sorry. --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 22:05, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- Don't apologize, seeing that you're making edits in good faith, though I'd be happy if you could learn from this and consider the implications of making unsourced claims when deciding to make edits. OOM 224 22:14, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
- I have learned from it already. Thank you. :) --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 13:47, 24 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for doing that, saves me doing it at another point! :) I'm afraid I'm not too confident in myself in writing up such big amounts, but I can take a look at the section on the page you mentioned at some point, which other pages do you want looking at? You can just list them on my talk page and I'll see what I can do at some point Lewisr (talk) 02:08, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- I answered your messages, as you can hopefully see! Regarding File:C-3PO-AD-4M.png, unfortunately I do not know who those are, but if they are ever identified then we can add them to the image categories Lewisr (talk) 02:34, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your responses! May the Force be with you! :) --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 15:12, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
TROS DELETED SCENE
No source yes but then delete it in The Last Jedi, no proof there either!?RearendiaRT (talk) 15:13, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- Where did you get it from? --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 15:21, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
- It exists in many places, and I think a lot of people know about these deleted scenes. As I said, I don't understand why mine stands out when there is no evidence in the TLJ part. RearendiaRT (talk) 15:30, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
Redundant categories
Hello! Thanks for adding categories to images! However, please be careful not to add redundant categories: for example, "Images of Tatooine" is the "parent category" of "Images of Mos Eisley." In this case, we only list the child category, and not the parent category, to avoid having the image listed twice in the same category. Cheers! LucaRoR

Hey! I have seen you doing that :) It's good that you're doing it, as it sometimes gets forgotten! I know when I upload images then I try to include as many of the relevant categories as I can. That's okay, real life stuff is more important of course! I can work through that yes. Thanks for reaching out :) Lewisr (talk) 16:33, 24 March 2023 (UTC)
- You are welcome! Thank you! May the Force be with you! :)

- How much have you done so far? I just did every one from The Book of Boba Fett, however I would like to ask you another favor. Some of them from both series have questions from me in their edit descriptions, so if you could answer them, then that would be great! Thank you! :) --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 14:45, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry I was a bit busy with some things. So far I've done a couple episodes but I am working through them! I have noticed your questions, and from what I can see, most of the time we don't actually have pages for them because they are either unnamed or not notable enough for pages. Hope this helps :) Lewisr (talk) 22:48, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- I understand. Thank you! :) --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 01:00, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- You're very welcome! :) Lewisr (talk) 01:05, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Last question for tonight: Was it just episodes 11 and 12 you did so far? If so, we can continue from 13 tomorrow. :) --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 01:09, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- So far yes! But all in good time, there's no rush on these things of course :P Lewisr (talk) 01:17, 28 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hey friend! Thanks for letting me know! That's okay, take all the break you need on it, we can work through it still Lewisr (talk) 15:39, 29 March 2023 (UTC)
- No problem! Of course! Do you think we've been indenting our responses here too much? If so, how many asterisks do you think we should go no more than? May the Force be with you! :) --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 15:41, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Sabine Wren
Hey! I'm okay thanks, how are you? There actually were texts to the images, just the formatting of the image was incorrect so it didn't show, but I've fixed it now Lewisr (talk) 15:29, 14 October 2023 (UTC)

TCW film
Hey! Those Legends links do need to be there, because the film is also within the Legends continuity Lewisr (talk) 16:32, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
- But it, along with the series, are the only media outside of the saga films, to stay Canon, despite being released before George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney. --Rocket Retro Reed (talk) 22:44, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
- There are a few Legends stories that build off the TV series, so it not being Legends would also affect those Lewisr (talk) 00:30, 15 October 2023 (UTC)

Talk pages
Hi, please do not alter others' talk page messages even to correct misspellings like you did here, changing "organisation" to "organization". Furthermore, when a message is unsigned all that is needed is the "Unsigned" template with the person's username, which can be found on the page history. Thanks, Fan26 (Talk) 16:10, 11 November 2023 (UTC)

Thanks so much, I appreciate it a lot! It was just in the past month here if you're interested in seeing. But that's nice you're a content moderator, congrats on that (even if it's 3 years late haha)! Have had that a couple times from people, so you're not alone haha.
