- "Can you get me more on Lechra? Oh, and also Forrn–I seem to recall they had a moon with carnium as well."
- ―Leia Organa, to Nioma
Forrn was a world[3] located in the Forrn system within the Xan sector of the Mid Rim[1] and the Slice.[2] It was situated in grid square Q-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] Forrn had a moon with deposits of the energy-rich material carnium and was ruled by Empress Eliaora.[3] By 4 ABY,[4] Princess Leia Organa had visited Forrn and established a connection with Eliaora.[3]
That year,[4] after the Battle of Endor, Organa requested that Rebel Intelligence Major Nioma send her data on Forrn as she planned to reach out to worlds with energy-rich resources in the hopes they would side with the forming New Republic. Organa then discovered that the world had either remained independent or at minimum had been forced into a financial agreement with the Galactic Empire. Reasonably confident that she could convince Forrn to side with the Republic, the princess sent a holomessage to Eliaora and used her established connection with the empress to speak to them at a personal level.[3]
Behind the scenes
Forrn was mentioned in The Princess and the Scoundrel, a 2022 novel written by Beth Revis.[3]
