A cathedral was located in Aldera,[2] the capital city of the Core Worlds planet Alderaan.[3] At some point by 0 BBY, the cathedral had been destroyed when the rest of Alderaan was annihilated[1] by the Galactic Empire's Death Star battle station.[4] During her wedding ceremony within a temple in Bright Tree Village on the moon Endor[2] in 4 ABY,[4] Princess Leia Organa mentally noted that there was every chance that had things turned out differently, she would have been married to rebel General Han Solo at the cathedral.[2]
