- "The fertile soil of Pyra is now a desert."
- ―Leia Organa
Pyra was a world[3] located in the Pyra system within the Fei Hu sector of the Mid Rim[1] and the Slice.[2] It was situated in grid square P-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
During its reign, the Galactic Empire mined Pyra for its resources until its fertile soil had been turned into desert.[3] In 4 ABY,[4] during a meeting of Rebel Alliance personnel in Bright Tree Village on[3] the Outer Rim[5] moon Endor, Princess Leia Organa used Pyra as an example of worlds that had been destroyed by the Empire in its attempts to acquire resources from them.[3]
Behind the scenes
Pyra was mentioned in The Princess and the Scoundrel, a 2022 novel written by Beth Revis.[3]
