Creation of new page/Help
I see you're a very active member here, and I'm still trying to learn how to work my way around the wiki. I read the Wookieepedia:Sourcing page but I still feel as if I don't really get how to properly reference and use a reference list.
I'm trying to create the page: Amon based off of the Ordu Aspectu page (Inside "Members" category) but I'm not sure how I would reference Doctor Aphra 2: Book I, Part II. Mind giving me some pointers? --RyanCwab (talk) 02:48, February 4, 2017 (UTC)
- My best advice is when you look at Wookieepedia:Sourcing#How to reference articles would be to copy the really long reference but replace all the Episode 4 stuff with Doctor Aphra 2, I hope that that makes sense to you! It is hard to explain but if you make the page to the best of your abilities then I can fix the references if necessary --Lewisr (talk) 02:57, February 4, 2017 (UTC)
- I'm also still very new to talk pages so I may not be responding correctly but here goes. Your advice was fantastic I can see now why you said that it was hard to explain! Anyways, I tried to create the page but I was given the "Your modification was aborted by an extension hook," am I doing something wrong? Are only a certain amount of people allowed to do large edits? --RyanCwab (talk) 03:30, February 4, 2017 (UTC)
- Nope you're responding perfectly fine no worries! Haha yes it was a bit! Hmm I'm not really all too sure what the problem is, I don't think there is a restriction on what edits people can make when creating pages, you should take a look through it again and make sure everything is okay then try submit it again --Lewisr (talk) 03:35, February 4, 2017 (UTC)
- That's interesting I don't know where I went wrong but these are the steps I went through in order, hopefully you can identify the problem: To start, I created the reference < ref name="Doctor Aphra 2">Doctor Aphra 2: Book I, Part II</ref> then I used the ref name next to all the wiki links that related to that reference. After that, I used the "reflist" template and under the "I" section I put down < ref name="Doctor Aphra 2">Doctor Aphra 2: Book I, Part II</ref>. Was there something wrong with this process? If so what? I dunno what to try as the only response I get is that my modification was aborted by an extension hook. Sorry for all the trouble by the way, I'm just determined to learn how to operate the wiki haha. --RyanCwab (talk) 04:46, February 4, 2017 (UTC)
- Hmmm I'm completely lost as to why its not working for you to be honest! Can I ask a favour? Would you be able to post what you've done in your reply and I can take a look at it and hopefully get it resolved for you, then when I figure it out I can let you know! I only ask this because I'm about to head off for a while and I don't want you to lose all what you've done in case you're going off soon too, btw it's no trouble at all! Always happen to help out when I can --Lewisr (talk) 05:00, February 4, 2017 (UTC)
- This is everything that I could garner from the source editor of the editing page, truthfully I don't know exactly what you meant when you asked me to post what I've done but hopefully this works.

Amon was a Human Male who was a member of the Ordu Aspectu. He died during the Doom of the Ordu Aspectu, which occurred thousands of years before the Battle of Yavin. == Appearances == * Doctor Aphra 2: Book I, Part II —Unsigned comment by RyanCwab (talk • contribs)- Sorry I should have been more clearer with what I meant, so I managed to get it made and I believe the problem was that you included a reference inside of the reflist, generally you would just put ==Notes and references== and then the Reflist underneath and then that's all. A couple of other things as well, when you make an infobox you should copy all of the table not just the ones you're using, even if they're going to be blank its still worth adding the others and also when creating a canon page you should add "{{Eras}}" at the top of the page --Lewisr (talk) 12:25, February 4, 2017 (UTC)
Revert of edit
I did not without reason empty the duplicate stub YT-1000_freighter.
A IP-only-user, a page empty was all the reason, no? He did`n read the summary, looked the stub over or did simply not care? Years in this wiki of adding/polishing text, correcting typos or from time to time deleting stupid duplicates. Only to get it careless undone. Again. It was the LAST time.
The last straw. I am out. Congrats. --84.155.204.246 04:03, February 6, 2017 (UTC)
- I don't really understand what you're trying to say, but you blanked a legitimate page hence why I reverted your edit. --Lewisr (talk) 04:07, February 6, 2017 (UTC)
Rebel Rising
On the Rebel Rising page, I added my new image in the Bibliography. The source was an official post on StarWwars.com. [1] How is that not a "sourced" image? What do I need to do to avoid an edit war with you? The Ultimate Dude (talk) 19:44, February 17, 2017 (UTC)
- You need to actually source the image itself, by adding the template in this link onto the image page and filling it out --Lewisr (talk) 19:49, February 17, 2017 (UTC)

No worries I assumed it wasn't intentionally to damage it, I think it is Canon info in this instance although I am not entirely sure, my best recommendation is too bring it up on the talk page for the article! Hello, Lewisr. May I ask if you have a copy of The Essential Atlas? Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 10:22, February 20, 2017 (UTC)

Hey! Tristan Wren's homeworld was Mandalore. It even says he's a Mandalorian in the article. I rest my case and I'm going to edit it back.

- Unless you can provide a source that says his homeworld was Mandalore it'll be removed. Satine was a Mandalorian and her homeworld was Kalevala, so being a Mandalorian doesn't automatically mean you are from Mandalore --Lewisr (talk) 01:59, April 12, 2017 (UTC)

Freemaker Season 2 episodes
Hi there,
Why did you delete the appearance lists for the LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Season Two short films? I am still in the process of working on those articles. I plan to finish them over the weekend. I just had to stop because it was midnight in New Zealand and I was getting sleepy. Andykatib 22:32, May 5, 2017 (UTC)

Fact file 106
Regarding http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Official_Star_Wars_Fact_File_Part_106
I keep consistently receiving verify notices saying that there is no proof, but I have provided all the information and sources, using previous pages of the same magazine series as a reference. With all due respect, what am I doing wrong?

- If you checked your talk page you'd notice I already left you a message, but you have not added a external source to confirm that it actually exists, though I don't doubt you it still needs to be sourced to something --Lewisr (talk) 02:57, May 15, 2017 (UTC)
May I have help putting a source for the article? I presume it is the same as the other issues, but I am struggling to find it. Thanks

- If you can provide the source then I can help you out! If you check the other fact file pages and check the external links then that may help --Lewisr (talk) 03:02, May 15, 2017 (UTC)
I'm not sure where to find the external links, but I do have the link to the store where the issue is sold https://shop.deagostini.co.uk/star-wars-fact-file-issue-116.html, I can't find anything on the other fact file pages.
- The other pages use that as a source so that should be fine to use, I'm just about to head off for a bit so if you add that link to the page then you should be okay to remove the verify tag and I xan clean it up when I get back on --Lewisr (talk) 03:14, May 15, 2017 (UTC)

Vitiate
Hi! You reverted my edit on Vitiate's page. The reason for my edit was that the original sentence is easy to misunderstand:
"However, the 2012 novel Darth Plagueis reveals that the Sith Emperor did in fact die a final time at some point before the book's events, 3,600 years after the events of The Old Republic."
I've seen multiple people on youtube videos citing this sentence falsely as a proof that Vitiate died 3600 years after TOR. I've also seen it on reddit: see [2] (second comment)
Would it be okay if I change it back to my version? I think it would be easier to understand that way. --Knight48 (talk) 01:35, May 16, 2017 (UTC)
Links
How do you add in links to notes and references? According to my recent edits that you undid, I forgot to add in this link to the end of the sentences: https://www.retrozap.com/the-origin-of-lukes-green-lightsaber/ —Unsigned comment by Retro Reed (talk • contribs)
- You would need to add it as a source in the sources section, however you cannot add that link as that is a speculation/theory and we do not add speculations or theories to the pages --Lewisr (talk) 22:55, May 17, 2017 (UTC)
According to my information that you removed, I did not first read about it from that website. I am an enormous Star Wars fan and I know just about anything. After losing his first lightsaber in Cloud City on Bespin, Luke Skywalker returned to Obi-Wan (Ben) Kenobi's abandoned hut on Tatooine to build a new lightsaber. There he found a manual and spare lightsaber parts. And you know where he got the green Kyber crystal from? Qui-Gon Jinn's lightsaber in the storage trunk. Obi-Wan Kenobi held onto his master's lightsaber after using it to defeat Darth Maul on Naboo. I just know this because for one, there were no crystal caves on Tatooine, two, if Kenobi had to leave a green Kyber crystal somewhere, then it would have to be in his master's lightsaber. —Unsigned comment by Retro Reed (talk • contribs)
- We do not know how Luke came into possession of a green kyber crystal, perhaps it was Qui-Gon's but until a canon source says it then we cannot add it --Lewisr (talk) 01:39, May 18, 2017 (UTC)
Did you mean that if a canon source says so, then it can be added, and if a canon doesn't say anything, then it can't be added.—Unsigned comment by Retro Reed (talk • contribs)
Wasn't the pit he fell in the Thermal Oscillator or something? That place is explosive, and if he fell in it, then he must have exploded, and then for various reasons, Starkiller Base exploded. —Unsigned comment by Retro Reed (talk • contribs)
- It would be better to say he exploded with Starkiller Base or something, btw please sign your posts with the signature button --Lewisr (talk) 02:10, May 18, 2017 (UTC)
I think maybe it's good the way it was before I started editing it and you having to undo it. Han Solo was killed and murdered by his son, and then fell to the rest of his death in the pit below, but I don't like to refer to it as the destruction of Starkiller Base killing him, because it reminds me of the death of Chewbacca in the Expanded Universe aka Star Wars Legends. --John Reed Whisnant 03:06, May 18, 2017 (UTC)Retro Reed

Thrawn
Hi. Kanauer Corporation is mentioned in the 2017 book 'Thrawn'. I tried to update the 'Sources' part of the Kanauer Corporation page, but it keeps getting deleted and it has this username as the remover? It is mentioned on page 384 so it is legitimate. Cheers, Paul ObiWanKnauer (talk) 00:08, May 20, 2017 (UTC)ObiWanKnauer
- Thrawn is a canon novel and that was a legends page you added it on so that's why I removed it --Lewisr (talk) 00:10, May 20, 2017 (UTC)

Just a question, for example the Nebulon or the GR images are from legends or BTS books but still is the same ship/prop used that counts as canon or legends? Since the one for the dornean ship comes from the same source like the ones mentioned before. Thanks --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 19:05, May 20, 2017 (UTC)
- If the others are from the same source then it looks like it's okay to add it, I was not aware those were so apologies for taking the image out. Unless there is something in a more canon source that is better than I guess it'll do --Lewisr (talk) 19:13, May 20, 2017 (UTC)
- Hi again, sorry to bother you again with this, but I've been informed that if its the same image, from the promo pics for the movie is still valid. We've been doing this with many minor characters that have promo pics released in a better quality before --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:42, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- It's no bother, but the old databank is a legends source so it'll have to come from elsewhere. The only source on the image is the old databank currently --Lewisr (talk) 01:46, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- If you follow that guideline many articles are going to lose the image, its the same image, its like a BTS image so its the same. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:48, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- If it appears in a canon source all that needs to be done is added to the sources on the image --Lewisr (talk) 01:49, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- So, are we going to delete many images from canon articles because they don't appear in a canon source, and re upload a worst quality image to use it, even if its the same person, same outfit, same photoshoot, but from another angle?, Its like the Nebulon and GR images that I told you before they come from an old book way before legends canon, so are we going to remove those too? --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:52, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- If they aren't from a canon source then probably they shouldn't be on the canon pages --Lewisr (talk) 01:57, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- Before you do that, because there're too many articles like that, ask an admin about using an image released before the legends/canon separation in a canon article that its the same image or just with modified posture, because its not like it comes from a comic or a art image for a legends media, its from a promo shoot for the episode, its like not using Obi Wan promo shoot for Ep III because its from legends, even the new book confirmed that those people are indeed the same --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:59, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- Well then you should bring it up to change the policy on that because I really don't know how it was determined, all I know is that if the source says legends then it doesn't go on a canon page --Lewisr (talk) 02:05, May 29, 2017 (UTC)
- Where should I bring it up? --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 02:07, May 29, 2017 (UTC)

Midi-chlorian Page
I'm not sure I understand the logic or reasoning behind removing the link to Darth Vader on the Midi-chlorian page and instead having it go to just the Darth page and leaving Vader to go nowhere. Doesn't make much sense to me.--Gphoenix51 (talk) 04:49, May 21, 2017 (UTC)
- Because when you linked Darth Vader it redirects to Anakin Skywalker, which is already linked on the page so it doesn't need to be linked again --Lewisr (talk) 10:50, May 21, 2017 (UTC)
Trench
Hey again, I recently added information to Trench's biography but it was removed because it was seen as speculative/unverified. However, I did use one of the sources as a reference (The Official Fact File Part 106, which I created solely to use as a source and reference) and used key phrases from the source such as "top-of-the-line" and "to ensure his quick return to sevice." I might be missing something else, but I was hoping for clarification and maybe some assistance on how I can properly add that information appropriately.
EctoBiology-department (talk) 01:11, May 23, 2017 (UTC)Ectobiology-department
- Hey! It was more of the last part that was unsourced and I probably should've left the first part. but if you could source the last part of then it's fine. Does it all come from the fact file? --Lewisr (talk) 01:13, May 23, 2017 (UTC)
Yep! All from the Fact File. "It's true, all of it." as Han would say. (By now I've already squeezed every detail regarding Trench from that source.)

Anakin Skywalker
You really think so? I remember when Anakin Skywalker was a Youngling in TPM, a Padawan in AOTC, and a Jedi Knight in the Clone Wars, but he was Ahsoka Tano's master during the Clone Wars, and wasn't he a Jedi Master at the end of the Clone Wars in ROTS before he turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader? --John Reed Whisnant 13:26, May 23, 2017 (UTC)Retro Reed
- He was never a Jedi Master, he wasn't given the rank of Master by the Council so unless some other source says it then you can't add Anakin to the Jedi Master page sorry. --Lewisr (talk) 13:29, May 23, 2017 (UTC)
I'm sorry sir. How could he not be a Jedi Master since he was Ahsoka Tano's master? Were there any other Jedi Knights besides him that never became Jedi Masters?--John Reed Whisnant 13:34, May 23, 2017 (UTC)Retro Reed
- That isn't how it works, Obi-Wan was knighted to Jedi Knight in TPM and took Anakin as his apprentice, he didn't become a Master until the Clone Wars so just because you have an apprentice doesn't automatically make you a Jedi Master --Lewisr (talk) 13:42, May 23, 2017 (UTC)

Copying and Pasting Links to Lists of Appearances with Perfect Alignment on Pages
How do I copy and paste a link onto a page with perfect alignment? I copied a link and pasted it in the list of appearances, but it was in plain text, not as a link, and it was indented right away from the links above, so I had to discard the edits. Thank you, --Retro Reed
- If you add 2 [ before the text then 2 ] after then it should work, hope that makes sense --Lewisr (talk) 15:58, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
This is actually on Luke Skywalker's Green Lightsaber page. --Retro Reed
Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi --Retro Reed
- And what source says it appears? As far as I'm aware none have confirmed it--Lewisr (talk) 22:00, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
There is no source. I have always been wanting to know the answer to this question ever since George Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney and new movies were coming, but I think it is VERY LIKELY that it will return. It didn't in TFA. He might let Finn or Rey keep his father's lightsaber. Nothing happened to it in the comic after ROTJ, right? I just hope it happens. Ever since I've known Luke Skywalker have that new green lightsaber in ROTJ, and I still have the retro toy/collectible that I had when I was a kid, I always thought that it would be VERY, VERY, LIKELY to return in the Sequel Trilogy. Things that I've recently edited, which you had to undo because they didn't have any sources, I just feel very positive about because I'm from the retro age (since October 8, 1996), and I know and remember everything ever since I was just a little boy. --Retro Reed
- It is possible that his lightsaber will appear in the sequel trilogy, the last time we saw his green saber was in Shattered Empire issue 4. In regards to his father's its already been confirmed just today by Pablo Hidalgo that they consider the lightsaber to be officially Rey's so Rey will be keeping it for the time being --Lewisr (talk) 22:20, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, of course, I know it all, but if nothing happened to his second lightsaber in SE #4 comic, and Rey is keeping his first lightsaber, then it must return in the sequel trilogy. Right? --Retro Reed
- Unless something happened to it between Shattered Empire 4 and the Last Jedi then it could well appear --Lewisr (talk) 22:30, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
All right. Perfect response. Btw are you an administrator or something?
Gee I'm sorry. No need to yell at me. What are you?
- I'm not yelling sorry if you feel that way. I'm just a normal editor--Lewisr (talk) 22:41, May 25, 2017 (UTC)
All right. Perfect response. --Retro Reed

Thanks for keeping up with me, i tried to spot any prior links. :) btw you changed "brackets"Tusken Raider|Tusken Raiders"brackets" to having the "s" just after the link on Cad Bane's article, is that a practice here? Cause i don't see the need to exclude the "S". :)--Tetsu Aero (talk) 16:24, May 26, 2017 (UTC)

Depa Bilaba
The concept art of Depa says episode 601, which is A Death on Utapau, shouldn't she be in that appearance section instead of The Big Bang? Though i don't recall any of the sources saying that she would be in the actual final episodes, which is why i said it should have had a source.--Tetsu Aero (talk) 20:20, May 27, 2017 (UTC)
- The concpet art gallery is for all 4 episodes but it doesn't mention which specific episode so I'll take it out now --Lewisr (talk) 20:34, May 27, 2017 (UTC)
Change Aborted by an extension hook
Hello, sorry to bug you but you seem like you know a lot so I figured you could help me. I'm a new user here, quite new in fact, I joined today.I recently finished reading Thrawn, loved it, and discovered that Wookieepedia is currently lacking information about Thrawn. So I figured I'd help out. The problem is I can't quite seem to make new pages? I've tried twice for H'sishi and Scarn (spice), and both have had the same result. I write out the whole page with links and everything, but then when I go to publish it, I get a pop up that says "Change Aborted by an extension hook" or something of the like. I was wondering if you could tell me what I've done wrong as I've been comparing it to already established pages and I can't quite find the issue. Thanks in advance. --UmbraWitchAlraune (talk) 00:24, May 30, 2017 (UTC)
- Hey, don't be sorry I'm glad to help if I can! Hmm I am not entirely sure what the problem is without seeing what you've wrote, my advice to is to just go through again and make sure everything is okay. Other than that I am not entirely sure what else I can say except maybe reaching out to an admin or something? --Lewisr (talk) 00:28, May 30, 2017 (UTC)
- Your external links don't by any chance have what's known as "smart quotes" or any other unusual punctuation, do they? That's normally what will result in that message. You may also want to get in touch with someone who's an admin here - they can review the filter and find out what about your submissions was triggering the message. Thanks both of you for the responses, let me see if I can attach a screenshot.Apparently file uploading is currently down for server maintenance? Unfortunately that puts a bit of a damper on my ability to share screenshots with you guys. Thanks for the help, I'll see what I can do about taking it up with an admin!--UmbraWitchAlraune (talk) 03:58, May 30, 2017 (UTC)

Bravais & Rina Major
Hi there Lewisr, what's up? I see you have an interest in fixing Jpercy's edits just as I do. He recently made minor edits to Bravais and Rina Major pages, and as you can see in the history, the former articles identified them as "homeworlds." As you know, that doesn't necessarily mean "planets," and I wanted to ask you if you own the source material and if you can confirm their status. Thanks! Re:Grand Admiral uniform
Hey there Lewisr. When I first read Empire's End, I went back and forth about the same matter; then totally forgot about it some time later. I am still undecided about this. Initially this quote made me think that this definitely should count as a grand admiral uniform appearance:
He wears the white of a grand admiral, somehow clean despite the filth of this world. A red cape swoops behind him, stirring dust.
But then all other quotes only identify it as a naval uniform:
chest puffed out in his white naval uniform, a red cape
This man in naval whites. This man in his red cape.
Soon his naval white matches the red cape spilled beneath him
So it could be a simple comparison made by Sloane because the Counselor has a uniform just like hers. Either way, I personally think we shouldn't count Rax as an owner of the uniform as he partially wears it part of a unique uniform (and probably no gold epaulets and other stuff); but Rax's Counselor uniform should definitely be addressed somewhere in the article. I'm still unsure about adding Empire's End to the appearances list, I leave it up to you. Hope this helps! P.S Sorry for the long response . AnilSerifoglu (talk) 16:54, June 13, 2017 (UTC)

Twi'lek in Darth Vader #1 (2015)
Hi, there! I was looking through the appearances section for Darth Vader 1 and was surprised to see Oola on the list. It seems to have originated in this edit by Gonzalo84, but I see that you also updated the character's article with the appearance later that day.
I have the issue and a lot Jabba's goons do show up in the early pages, and appear to be based on their movie counterparts, but I don't know whether most of these background characters have been canonically linked to established ones. I felt Oola looked different enough (all you see is her head, with the other Twi'lek's headgear) that this appearance might be conjectural. I would have asked Gonzalo84 first, but since there seems to be a bit of a track record with him for conjecture, I figured I'd start here -- do you know if this character was explicitly linked to Oola? Or Lyn Me?
And if not, is this the kind of place to use the (Possible appearance) convention on one or both articles, or would we just remove the appearance altogether? I can scan the panel if you'd like to see the image in question. This might turn into a bit of a paranoid rabbit-hole for me, checking every appearance that contributor has put up for the Darth Vader arc... Thanks for your time! --Truth & Retconciliation (talk) 15:34, June 26, 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks! Haha. I'll list it as a possible appearance for now and let wiser minds decide whether to remove the whole appearance later. --Truth & Retconciliation (talk) 15:53, June 26, 2017 (UTC)

Timeline
There is a new timeline set in Entertainment Weekly's Ultimate Guide to Rogue One which sets the 0 year as 32 BBY. All dates in this sourcebook are given in this format rather then in BBY/ABY format. I think it should be mentioned in the article, so I dont get why you removed it. --С уважением, Starit (обс) 22:07, June 28, 2017 (UTC)
- I removed it because 3 after the battle of blockade of Naboo doesn't make sense, 3 what? Years? Days? --Lewisr (talk) 22:10, June 28, 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for that! I notice that 27 BBY/Canon uses the same timeline about Mon Mothma --Lewisr (talk) 22:32, June 28, 2017 (UTC)
- And every notable year and event in nowdays-Canon universe is threated in the same way on next few pages, including Berch Teller's campagin, Gorse conflict, the Great Jedi Purge (and it's named the Great), Operation: Cinder and etc. --С уважением, Starit (обс) 22:37, June 28, 2017 (UTC)

Hutt space
I don't get the point about conflict between sources. If "Aliens of the Galaxy" states that Hutt space is in the Outer Rim, why does it mean that the whole sector is located there? Plus someone from Story Group already said that canon uses nearly the same map with legends (what was prooved TFABG). --С уважением, Starit (обс) 11:31, July 9, 2017 (UTC)
- Because it says it's located in the Outer Rim and doesn't mention anything else about the Mid Rim in the note. Looking on the legends page, the Toydaria system never had a specific region it was just Hutt Space. --Lewisr (talk) 11:38, July 9, 2017 (UTC)

Name
On Khaat Qiyn's apprentice talk page, you mention that this editorial was not canon, hence why my name change was overridden. I thought since it was written after the 2014 reboot, that it might be canon. I remember when I read that article, and used it to update information on the Jedi assault team. I thought that article was up to date and most of the information was acquired from canon sources such as Episode II and it's commentaries.CC-1990 (talk) 21:19, July 11, 2017 (UTC)
- I just thought that the guys who run StarWars.com edit these articles and then talk with someone like Leland Chee or even George Lucas since they are ultimate authority on all things star wars. Plus i thought most things published StarWars.com were canon after 2014.CC-1990 (talk) 21:47, July 11, 2017 (UTC)

Multiple appearances
If I'm correct, and this way was done with the old Legends books "Tales from..." is that the title of the short story is added to appearances list instead of the book collecting the stories. Supreme Commander
Lewisr ,could you help me with the Supreme Commander (Empire)/Canon page?
I remember I read this in one of the final chapters of Aftermath ,Aftermath Life Debt and also in the Rogue One Visual Dctionary or Encyclopedia.--Edgar of Star Wars (talk) 11:54, July 14, 2017 (UTC)
And also we should add on the Emperor's Royal Guard page that the Royal Guards also took orders from Darth Vader .Like we see the Guards in Rogue One and other comics taking orders from Vader.--Edgar of Star Wars (talk) 11:59, July 14, 2017 (UTC)
Star Wars Aftermath ,Star Wars Aftermath Life Debt and I checked and the Rogue One Visual Dictionary also mentions once of Vader's title as Head of Imperial Military and it seems to be the same so all the three .And well I remember that the Royal Guards twice took orders from Vader in Lords of the Sith and in another Canon comic and they seem to be his bodyguards on Mustafar. And the same we can say for the Emperor's Royal Guard/Legends as seen in Darth Vader and the Ninth Assasin. In both Legends and Canon ,the guards sometimes take orders from Vader. So we can say that they occasionaly were placed under Vader's command, not always but occasionaly. So in all Aftermath books is mentioned Vader's title as Supreme Commander and in the VIsual Dicitonary as Head of Imperial Military.Thank you for your help,I really appreaciatte it.You guys on this wiki are more glad to help and friendly than those from the wiki I once helped the Star Wars Battlefront wiki on which the administrators never liked what I have done to improve the wiki. They said that because the Imperial Sentinel Droid that was seen in the Gameplay trailer seems to only appear in Campaign we don't need to make an article cause we have other wikis to do this which is stupid. So again ,Thanks for helping me ,have a good day.--Edgar of Star Wars (talk) 18:25, July 14, 2017 (UTC)
My memory went bad it seems . I checked found in one of the last chapters of Star Wars Aftermath the title of Supreme Commander ,but I don't have the book with me . I am not home and I like a complete fool fogot the page. And checked in the Rogue One Visual Dictionary and I found that I misremebered and it doesn't mention this title ,I may have imagined it. I checked today in the Star Wars databank and saw the title of Supreme Commander at Vader's databank entry somewhere in Dark Times . If we don't find the mention of the title ,then... then it will be considered fanon.I won't be back until tommorow and if I find again the page I will tell you.If not then it will unfotunately be considered fanon. And yes I would like to see on the Emperor's Royal Guard page that they took orders from Vader when Palaptine said so.
It's okay.Even if the page gets deleted thanks for being a good friend and helping me.You are much different than the people on Battlefront wiki who blocked me for a week for forgeting to write my signature. Thanks a lot for helping me out.Unfortunately I won't be so active next week ,but after next week I will try to help the wiki more. You don't need to write the Royal Guard taking orders from Vader when Palpatine said so because I already put it there. Thanks for helping .Have a nice day.

I have it on audio and listened to it a couple of years ago, but there was a line in there where I think Yularen (or maybe an admiral?) was talking about a partisan ship that jumped to the "Taris system" before going to rendezvous with the main antagonists who stole Tarkin's ship in another system. I haven't read it in a while, so it is possible that it just said "Taris", but I remember it being "Taris system". I talked with Brandon about this a couple years ago. Check out page 199 or 200. That is when Taris is first mentioned in the book. Darth Ravigious (talk) 23:17, July 20, 2017 (UTC)

I tried copying and pasting the source from the Legends Bts section, but there was an error in the source editor. He mentioned this in a Q&A. Even though this was before the Great Purge of 2014, I think it is still important to state because it involves his opinion on an original character that he wrote. canon?
- Hey lewisr you've been great and can u confirm if this is canon http://www.webtoons.com/en/sf/starwars/list?title_no=544&page=4 cuz its after 2014 the disney purge + its been trademarked by lucasfilm so is everything there official? (although there is probably very little new content inside)
- I believe that the comic you have found is a fan-comic adaption of the original trilogy, with a few scenes from the Legends continuity thrown in. I'm sorry, but it is non-canon.

- I am actually glad that we got that sorted out. It was getting rather confusing, seeing as the "Dark Age" appears to be a period of time within the "Fall of the Old Republic". It makes more sense to have that as a portion of the article as opposed to a separate article since it is more like an era within an era.

- Since you went ahead and added the appearances into the articles without the Adventures Template, should we scrap it as a whole? And change the Ashcan stuff to normal formatting? Or we could change the Template to accomodate stories (I tried to and realised, we'd have to re-format all the Ashcan appearances) and change it on both the Ashcan and Issue 1.--ZapikCZ (talk) 15:06, July 24, 2017 (UTC)

Hey Lewis. Yeah, the New/Old thing is just different areas/districts/boroughs of Jedha City in Guardians of the Whills. I think the most obvious (and probably intentional) real-world analogue are the Old City and New City sections of Jerusalem. — DigiFluid(Whine here) 00:50, July 26, 2017 (UTC)

Do we have any decent canon images of an Imperial fleet (preferably not in combat) for the this article? I can't seem to find any that would get the point across. I just feel like the article is incomplete with one more image (can't believe that legends one was there for so long though. Haven't checked that page out in a while). Darth Ravigious (talk) 00:32, July 31, 2017 (UTC)
- Most of them seem to be only ships in combat. There is a nice one with the Executor next to a Star Destroyer, but that hardly seems appropriate seeing as those are only two vessels (specific, canon ones at that), and that there were no super star destroyers left in the remnant. I'll have a go through the gallery. If not, I will just wait until future media comes out that shows the Imp fleet, or better yet the remnant's fleet. Hey Lewisr. I wanted to ask you about this edit you made. Jaesa Willsaam and Nomen Karr
Darth Ravigious and I have been discussing whether or not the options in SWTOR that give the most Dark Side points among 2 or more dark side choices should be considered canon Legends-wise for Imperial characters. What do you think? --Rakhsh (talk) 17:03, August 7, 2017 (UTC)
Just to give some background, NoI thinks that it should be ultimately what is seen as the most objectively evil option (such as killing Nomen Karr, just to give an example), but my opinion is that, if two dark side options present themselves, it should left vague, because they are, in the end, both dark side. It was something that was never truly addressed when it was decided on that all Republic choices are LS and Imp choices are DS. It would be easy to do an edit on these articles to make them more DS neutral, so to speak, as there are quite a few options like that in the game that many different players would prefer to do. It just seems unfair in my own opinion, but I completely respect whatever consensus will be reached :) Darth Ravigious (talk) 17:07, August 7, 2017 (UTC)
- I have to be honest, I'm really not the best person to ask really as I don't really know much about all this. - I agree, if the there's multiple choices the one that gives more DS/LS points should be the one we consider it. --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 17:49, August 7, 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, but my argument is that the "point" system is simply a game mechanic. It has little to do with story and roleplaying. Plus I am pretty sure that letting Karr dwell in his suffering is the "evil" choice, but I can't be certain, so don't quote me. Either way, it's definitely the most cruel if you bring actual morality into the question. Darth Ravigious (talk) 15:00, August 8, 2017 (UTC)

Valorum
Tarkin states that the first supreme chancellor of the Galactic Republic was a Valorum. Darth Ravigious (talk) 19:28, August 8, 2017 (UTC)
- The Tarsus thing was actually a typo because that was originally what the article was going to be called, then I checked to see if that was his canon name then changed it back. Forgot to get rid of that part. Even so, in canon we know that the first guy was a Valorum, so he/she is a canon character. Fall of the Old Republic
Should it not be noted that the Mandalorian conflict (referring to Legends) was during the Fall of the Old Republic? Vizsla says that the Fall of the Old Republic was during the war with the Mandalorians. Logically (this is in the Legendsverse), that would mean that it would have been an era that lasted roughly three thousand years, which makes sense. Each and every legends conflict from then on seems to have greatly weakened the Republic in some way, so this fits. Either way, I feel that it is important to mention that the Mandalorian Wars were instrumental in the overall decline of the Old Republic prior to the Ruusan Reformation. Additionally, should the theft of the darksaber not be mentioned?
Also, I have another question. I am working on the legends article for the Fall of the Old Republic. I'm wondering what you think a better picture would be to use: the Sacking of Coruscant (which is highly appropriate), or the same one used in the Canon article (the Mandalorian mural from TCW), since the latter fits the reference about the Mandalorians made by Pre Vizsla in the Mandalore Plot. Just want your feedback since I am rather conflicted about this. Darth Ravigious (talk) 17:43, August 15, 2017 (UTC)
- I am basing it upon logic. Vizsla stated that the Mandalorian Wars occurred during the Fall of the Old Republic. As we know, in Legends, it did not completely collapse until the New Sith Wars, but was at a decline during various conflicts leading up to it. Other vague mentions throughout the Clone Wars seem to say the same thing. Additionally, KotOR and SWtOR constantly stress the idea that the Republic is falling or close to falling. Based on this information, I garner that this was a steady time period of fluctuation, with the various conflicts, which was officially stated, having caught up with it leading to its actual collapse/existing in name only by the time of the Dark Age. In my opinion, this is enough information to justify it as being a time period as opposed to an isolated event itself, very similar to how it is in canon (where more actual information has been revealed). For the most part, both universes line up pretty consistently. Darth Ravigious (talk) 18:14, August 15, 2017 (UTC)
- Hmm. Just looked up the clip. You are right. For all we know, his ancestor could have been Mandalore the Avenger, having stole it during the Sacking of Coruscant. At least that's my head canon haha.
However, back to seriousness, I see the first mention of the Republic's "falling" actually dating back to the second Knights of the Old Republic. I will have to do more digging. The term itself looks to be incredibly loose and used in different contexts. I feel that it is consistently mentioned enough to deserve an article, specifically since it DOES fall by 2000 BBY as a result of a build up of conflicts (believe that Darth Bane mentions it), but I am going to have to decide how I am going to go about this whole thing. Since it was not mentioned until KOTOR 2, I may start by mentioning the Dark Wars and First Jedi Purge, which seems to be another valid start point to what contributed to the Republic's collapse before the Ruusan Reformation. Darth Ravigious (talk) 18:35, August 15, 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks man. So far, from my understanding. It is a very loose collection of unrelated events that built up over the years. These events all appear in non-connected media, but they all seemed to catch up with it by the New Sith Wars. The Dark Age seems to be the result of the Fall. Darth Ravigious (talk) 18:48, August 15, 2017 (UTC)
- Pretty much like that for all civilizations. Rome is a very valid comparison. It didn't only fall when Odoacer rebelled in 476. It collapsed due to hundreds of years worth of wars with Barbarians and itself. Darth Ravigious (talk) 18:54, August 15, 2017 (UTC)

I own the Aftermath audiobook, but there is mention of how Yupe Tashu communicating with Sith spirits through the mask somewhere in the book. A word of advice
Hi, Lewisr. When it comes to reverting other users, you need to make sure that you yourself are not infringing upon our 3RR rule, which applies to any reversion case that isn't outright vandalism. To use the current situation involving the YT-1000 article, the anon in question is attempting in good faith to add information to the page that they believe is correct. This would not qualify as a case of vandalism (I'd recommend looking through the policy page for examples of what constitutes vandalism if you need to), so even though you are correct in removing the information, it's not appropriate for you (or the anon) to engage in this back-and-forth reverting. In this type of situation, the best thing for you to do (aside from reverting no more than three times) is warn the other editor in question if they're doing something wrong and then inform an administrator if the other editor continues. It's far better for the incorrect information to sit there for a brief time until an administrator can handle the situation than continuing to fuel a reversion war. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 03:50, August 21, 2017 (UTC)

- The Hosnian cataclysm was still listed underneath this category yet it was still that happened during the conflict. Can you, please, add after biography Invasion of Naboo headline and then later Clone War? I order to put them you must read the whole biography of the Canon article. I already made the Canon article bigger and expanded like you just need to add headlines with Clone War and Invasion of Naboo.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 12:31, September 7, 2017 (UTC)

Succession boxes for ships
Hey Lewis, I just wanted to ask you something. Awhile ago I tried to add succession boxes to Anakin/Vader's flagships. You reverted them by saying that they weren't titles, and by giving it a second thought I agreed with you. Recently, I was looking at several Legends star destroyer articles (because homework is boring), and discovered that listing specific individuals' flagships is a use for succession boxes (See 1, 2, 3 to name a few). Do you think I should re-add my previous edits, or just leave this trope to legends articles. I'm not bothered either way, and just thought that they added something to the articles, but on the same token I don't want to add something that would just be reverted again. Thanks in advance, and sorry to bother you with this possibly excessive paragraph. - Tommy-Macaroni (Talk) 19:24, September 11, 2017 (UTC)

Right, so I reverted back to last names on "Blood Sisters". It just seems really impersonal to me. Canon/Legends: Templates & Novelizations
Hi Lewisr,
I really appreciate your statement that the Novelizations are considered part from the Star Wars Legends brand. However, there were based on the films time before the term Expanded Universe was decided. Also, Disney never said that the novelizations and video games based on the films will not be canonical. The Indiana Jones Wiki, for example, cites the Novelizations and Videogames in the Behind the scenes feature at their articles. That's the question?
On the other hand, I wanted to ask you if you can give me the source of the template which differs each article from its Canon counterpart to its Legends counterpart. Thank you!
-X9 The Android
Fanty
The reason I removed Fanty is because I've read and re-read the online versions of Blade Squadron, Part One and Two, on starwars.com and Fanty is no where to be seen and Blade Four (the callsign he was assigned to) is killed whereas Fanty shows up in Zero Hour alive and well.--Shannon, Jedi Knight (talk) 11:29, September 26, 2017 (UTC)
- Only ever got Part 1 because the newsagency I bought the magazine went through a time they couldn't get it so never got it. Maybe the reason for the change was to explain Fanty's survival in Zero Hour when Blade Four was killed off. Perhaps you could scan and photo the entire story and place it here to help locate the missing part with Fanty in it.--Shannon, Jedi Knight (talk) 11:50, September 26, 2017 (UTC)
- So the online version eliminated Fanty and his line of being the only survivors to Moonsong instead? Talk about abridging. Should make a mention of that in Fanty and Blade Squadron (short story) entries.--Shannon, Jedi Knight (talk) 12:28, September 26, 2017 (UTC)
Warning
Lewis, please consider this your official administrative warning regarding edit warring, for which I have previously advised you to be mindful of. I will remind you that the Three-revert rule states that "an editor must not perform more than three reversions on a single Wookieepedia article within 24 hours of their first reversion. (This does not apply to self-reverts or correction of simple vandalism)." You have violated this rule on the Alexsandr Kallus article. As wayward, misguided, and hotheaded as this user may be, he's nonetheless making a good-faith effort at improving the article and is not simply vandalizing it. As I advised you before, you should have taken this issue to an administrator before it ever got to this point. If I see this happen again, I will have no choice but to issue you a block from editing. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 23:55, September 26, 2017 (UTC)

Question
Hello, I just wanted to say that without Denizens of Maz Kanata's Castle, their would be no way for people to find all the denizens without having to search for hours. Could you please remove the delete tag, because I believe that this page deserves to exist.
108.52.111.190 17:40, September 30, 2017 (UTC)
I get what you are saying, but there are guides to characters in the Mos Eisley Cantina, that have basically every minor character (and unnamed character) seen. There are no guides (at least none that I have seen) that have all the names of the denizens in one place. That is why I think that that denizen page is needed.

Thanks
Lewisr, I just wanted to show you some appreciation for coming behind me and cleaning up my edits on Krennic's article. I'm trying to bring it up to FA status, and I think it'll take me awhile. It's nice to have someone else looking after it. Godspeed. GenralHux (talk) 22:13, October 26, 2017 (UTC)
Unidentified long-legged mount
Hey there Lewisr, I hope you are well. As you have noticed, I have recently made some major edits to the unidentified long-legged mount article, and I intend to eventually nominate it for good article status. As a variant cover for Star Wars 38 depicts Luke Skywalker riding this creature, I'll wait to see if such a scene actually happens in the comic. Anyway, I would appreciate if you could take a look at the article to find anything insufficient, or that I missed. Please feel free to change anything you feel necessary. My greatest doubt is about the introduction, as it looks really short. But I personally felt that none of other details were important enough to be put there. Thanks! Vrogas Vas
Hello again. I am attempting to expand the page Battle of Vrogas Vas. I have completed most of it, but I am unable to add my final three paragraphs due to an extension hook locking me out. Specifically, the message reads "The modification you tried to make was aborted by an extension hook". I initially thought this might be a permissions problem, but the curious thing is that I was able to fill out most of the page and edit it however I saw fit up until I hit my fifth paragraph, whereupon that message displays. Because of this, I chose to edit the page as far as it would let me, and then quit. Any idea on what the problem is? The page was listed as a stub, so I thought that maybe changing that would allow me full access, but it seems that wasn't the problem. JHan919 (talk) 06:50, October 27, 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, so I figured it out myself after an hour. Apparently, the error was due to a glitch from copy and pasting info from another open tab, specifically, this left a "nowiki" tag in my source code and I didn't catch it at first. Got rid of that and everything turned out fine. I'll try to avoid spamming your talk page whenever I have a minor problem in the future. I'm sure that's annoying. I am sorry. First Order shuttle from the Poe Dameron comic in TLJ
Someone on Reddit found the ship in the trailer. I don't think it has a page, but it should, since it's in the movie. I don't have the issue with it, so I don't know what it is.--ZapikCZ (talk) 19:04, October 27, 2017 (UTC)

the stuff on legends happened in canon so i don't understand why it's being removed from canon when it happened in the show --Jedibman (talk) 15:06, October 31, 2017 (UTC)
so some of the stuff in that is in legends should be on the cannon page since it happened in the show not sure why it's in legends for that reason alone.--Jedibman (talk) 15:11, October 31, 2017 (UTC)
Ringo
so why is the Ringo legends not canon when it happened in the show which makes it canon so from my understanding, it should be on the canon page, not the legends. anything from umbra should be on the canon page.--Jedibman (talk) 15:20, October 31, 2017 (UTC)

Hi there Lewisr, I have just nominated the Sith cave article for GA status. And I would really appreciate it if you could take a look, change it as you want or give feedback about it. Droid Specialist
Since this droid appears in Star Wars Battlefront 2 which is Canon I suggest we make an article about it. What do you think?
Sorry forgot my signature.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 15:46, November 5, 2017 (UTC)
Also about the OOM Security Battle Droid isn't it Canon? —Unsigned comment by SwtorPlayer (talk • contribs)
In Revenge of the Sith which is Canon they are simply named by Palpatine Security Droids (when he says we must leave before more security droids arrive to Anakin) so I don't know should we make an article or just make a headline on the B1 Batt6le Droid article where to say that some B1 droids were used for security?--SwtorPlayer (talk) 15:56, November 5, 2017 (UTC)
Could you add a headline titled Security Droids on the B1 Battle Droid article and I will handle the rest.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 16:02, November 5, 2017 (UTC)
Oh and also I think we could add Droid Specialist to thatpart too along the Security Droid. Great idea for the title. I like it. But please add the headline to the article. I have a new computer and I am not well versed with it so please add it yourself.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 16:08, November 5, 2017 (UTC)
I seem to be unable to add the title. Could you please add the name at Specialized B1 battle droids? Sorry for stressing you out.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 16:25, November 5, 2017 (UTC)
I renamed the title you wrote from Security Droid to Specialist Droid is that ok? I thought that since both the Security battle droid and Specialist battle droid have the same markings in the same places it's the same droid so I renamed it to Specialist Droid.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 16:52, November 5, 2017 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for helping out with the articles relating to the Thrawn novel. I'm going to be creating articles from the Thrawn book today to get rid of at least some of the redlinks. BX Commando Droids specialized
In the Clone Wars series several types of Commando Droids appear such as the ones from Lola Sayu that had a distinctive dark yellow body and marks on it's head, the Black Sun model that was used by this organisation and by Cad Bane in his mission to rescue Ziro the Hutt and finally the Commando Droids that were present on Mandalore and captured Lux Bonteri at Count Dooku's behest and appeared on Onderon taking King Dendup to King Rash. So we should name them as such: the first Lola Sayu BX-series Commando Droids, the second Black Sun/Cad Bane's BX-series Commando Droids and the third seem to be to Commando Droids as Security Battle Droids/Droid Specialists to B1 Battle Droids so we could name them Commando Specialist Droids. What do you think Lewisr? Is it a good idea?
Specialist Battle Droid
I decided that the droid needed it's own page and 5 minutes after I made the article guess what happened. Mr JMAS put the wipe this pathethic... message on the article. I left a message to him thanking him for his lovely help and I need your help putting the Appearances.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 13:49, November 6, 2017 (UTC)
Re:Backgrounds
I did not know that this applied for all images. There are tons of images very similar to the one of Chopper on this wiki that have backgrounds removed for the sake of a better infobox image. It seems that this rule has either been nonexistent or not been enforced. Why is this all of the sudden a big deal?--Benjay2345 (talk) 04:26, November 7, 2017 (UTC)
- Okay, I understand. I see how backgrounds are the much better option in many cases but in the case of the Chopper image the grey background just seems a little bit awkward. I think there are lots of people on this wiki that would think that the white background in certain situations such as when it is a promotional posed photograph such as the ones of Sabine, Ezra, and in this case Chopper that the transparent backgrounds look better. In the end it seems that its just personal preference. I'll leave the Chopper photo be but I think that the transparent background should at least be considered.--Benjay2345 (talk) 04:38, November 7, 2017 (UTC)

DT-L21
I edited the article with the Deth Trooper known as DT-L21. I returned because the guys on Rebels blocked on their wikifor adding an image that was from Rebels but the admin said that it was from the Clone Wars and adding the article Unidentified Stormtrooper Corporal. I need to know if you agree with my edit on DT-L21's article.
Those guys on Rebels wiki and Battlefront wiki are not as friendly and not eager to help people change mistakes or give a second chance as people on Wookieepedia do. You are the opposite of Commander Awesome from Battlefront wiki. You: friendly, sincer and eager to help; Commander Awesome: likes to boss around, doesn't like me at all, everything people do without asking his mighty permission are threatened to be blocked. Have a nice day, my friend! See you soon.--SwtorPlayer (talk) 19:47, November 8, 2017 (UTC)
Rebel cell links
Is there a reason why we can't have links in say the Massassi Groups, Phoenix Squadron, or the Spectres to the rebel cell page if they have rebel cell listed? The same goes for Imperial remnants? I mean i know they are disambig pages but still a rebel cell is a rebel cell the same as an imperial remnant is still a imperial remnant?Jkirk8907 (talk) 22:06, November 8, 2017 (UTC)

Well in the Rogue One Visual Sticker Guide which is Canon states as such.
