- «A very nice view it is, too. I'm a little surprised to find such a room aboard a warship.»
«Oh, it's quite functional. Its full name is Forward Visual Triangulation Site Number One. We place spotters here during combat to track enemy vessels and other possible threats, and to coordinate some of our line-of-sight weaponry.»
«Don't you have sensors to handle that?»
«Of course. And usually they're quite adequate. But I'm sure you know there are ways of misleading or blinding electronic eyes. Sometimes the eyes of a Chiss are more reliable.» - ―Jorj Car'das and Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo
Forward Visual Triangulation Site Number One, or simply Forward Visual One, was a forward visual triangulation site located on the Chiss attack cruiser Springhawk of the Chiss Expansionary Fleet.
Description
- «Beautiful, isn't it? Please; be seated.»
«Thank you. May I ask why you sent for me?»
«To share this view, of course. And to answer a few questions.» - ―Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo and Jorj Car'das
The forward visual triangulation site housed a convex floor-to-ceiling viewport and was lit by dim lights. A long, curved couch was located in front of the viewport. Corellian smuggler Jorj Car'das compared the room to a compact version of starliner's observation gallery.[1]
History
- «Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo's respects. He requests your presence in Forward Visual One.»
- ―The messenger, to Jorj Car'das
Jorj Car'das (pictured) was questioned by Mitth'raw'nuruodo in the Forward Visual Triangulation Site Number One.
In 27 BBY,[2] following the skirmish between Progga the Hutt and Picket Force Two of the Chiss Expansionary Fleet, the crew of the light freighter Bargain Hunter, Human traders and smugglers Captain Dubrak Qennto, Maris Ferasi, and Jorj Car'das were brought aboard the Chiss attack cruiser Springhawk and granted a temporary living quarters. After being held in their quarters for a time, Corellian smuggler Jorj Car'das was informed by a Chiss messenger that Force Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," requested his presence in Forward Visual One in the Sy Bisti trade language.[1]
While he was escorted to the room, Car'das expected Forward Visual to be a crowded, high-tech room, but instead found himself in a room that looked like a compact version of starliner's observation gallery. In the room, Car'das was greeted by Thrawn, who summoned him to question Car'das on their true mission to determine whether he could trust the group. Car'das was still surprised by the existence of such a room aboard a warship. Thrawn explained the room's function and revealed its full name to Car'das.[1]
