Eldie Starros was a female member of the Starros Clan and the great-grandmother of the human scientist Avon Starros. At some point before Avon was sent to the outpost Port Haileap on the planet Haileap[2] by 232 BBY,[1] Eldie had died, and the Starros family gathered for exactly one hour to pay their respects to Eldie and eat a selection of Eldie's favorite foods.[2]
That year,[1] Avon was asked by the Dalnan Honesty Weft about the reasoning for why she had been sent to Port Haileap. In response, the scientist mentally noted that after she had been kidnapped—the reason why she had been sent to Haileap—she had been told by an emotional-support droid to talk about the experience. Avon then noted that talking about her experience was not the way her family lived their lives, before recalling Eldie's death and what the family had done after.[2]

Eldie Starros was mentioned in the 2021 junior novel The High Republic: A Test of Courage, written by Justina Ireland and published as part of[2] Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.[3]
