Mar was an individual who lived during the Imperial Era.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] Mar was present on[1] the Core Worlds[3] planet Corellia and witnessed the smuggler Remy meet with fellow smuggler Sana Starros at the fish market. The following day, as General Vukorah of the Unbroken Clan criminal syndicate interrogated Remy about a Path engine that he had sold to Beol De'Rruyet[1]—the founder of the company De'Rruyet Industries[4]—a member of the Unbroken Clan informed her of Mar's sighting of the two smugglers at the fish market.[1]

Mar was mentioned in the seventh issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Alyssa Wong and published by Marvel Comics[1] on January 20, 2021.[5]
